I've owned previous cordless dirt devil and it was inferior to this. The suction is strong enough to vacuum dust and my car for over 10 minutes. It does take at least 2 hours to charge fully. Needs a crevice attachment.

This is a nice vacuum. I received it for free from bzzagent. The sliding crevice tool is a great feature, however I wish it was easier to slide in and out. The dusting brush is a good idea but I feel it fell kind of short. It did the job of cleaning my blinds but not sure how much dust actually got vacuumed up. It's pretty lightweight and easier to handle than other handheld vacuums I've used before. All in all a good vacuum that, knowing what I know now, I would purchase.

Thank you Dirt Devil for giving me the Whole Home 12V Cordless Hand Vacuum for free so that I could review it. Pros: Light weight enough to clean areas overhead (ceiling fan). I like how the charging cord is integrated into the stand. Very easy to grab and go or drop and charge. It also holds the attachment so it doesn't get misplaced. Good for small jobs instead of getting out the upright. Built in pull out nozzle so you can reach further. Add the attachment and it's even longer. Easy to break into parts for cleaning and putting back together. The filter did get clogged and icky but it was easy to wipe off and was ready to go again. Cons: Bigger bits of paper got stuck in the opening between the nozzle and dirt collection area since it's a flap. You need to pull out the filter with your hand to empty dirt collection area instead of pressing a button to open. The stand only sits on something instead of being able to be mounted on a wall. Overall, I think it is a good hand vac for the small dry messes that happen around the house or car.

Needs more suction power

The Whole Home 12v Cordless hand vacuum and it is great . I used it now several times and it is light ,easy to handle and has good suction . The pivoting tool was awesome I used it for some light dusting on a few items that are hard to dust worked very well . I would definitely purchase and recommend to family and friends .

NOTE; I received this product for free as part of a promotion. The Dirt Devil is a hand-held vacuum cleaner. I found it to be a good, but not great product. There was minimal assembly assembly out of the box. The assembly necessary was well explained in the instruction manual. Even without the assembly instructions, getting it ready for use would be intuitive. Once assembled the directions require that it be fully charged before use. I do not know how long it takes to fully charged, but the full charge time was less than an hour. Once ready for use I found it to have good suction. It also comes with a brush attachment that also works well. The stand that houses the unit when not in use is well designed. So long as the charging cord I'd plugged in, the unit will charge when not in use and properly placed in the stand. My chief complaint against the product is the lack of attachments. As mentioned the brush attachment works well, but I would have liked to have an attachment with a narrower intake for vacuuming tight spots. It also would be helpful to have had some type of extension handle, so one did not need to bend over to pick up debris on the floor.

When i was first selected to try out this vacuum I was not very excited. I had had bad luck with dirt devil products in the past and have founf them to be cheaper. I have always been a Dyson person and like spending more money on an item like this for quality. HOWEVER i am very pleasantly surprised with the quality of this vacuum. The design is very nice, from the feel of it in your hand to the way the base is designed with cord pass through to the way that it stores the attachment. The suction power is about what you would expect for an item of this quality. It plaes in comparison to my handheld Dyson, but that vacuum is designed to clean carpet, this vacuum is for small spills and dust. For what it is designed to do it does it very well. This is a perfect vacuum to keep upstairs or in the basement and use as my secondary vacuum. I would give it a solid 4 out of 5 for this category and price bracket. The only thing that i am a little let down about is the extendable tip on the front. I feel like it should be much skinnier to get into tighter places. I would like it to be small enough to clean between car seats, but sadly it is not.

I needed a hand vacuum for downstairs so was excited to receive this product in exchange for my review. Overall, I think this is a pretty good machine! Pros: Extendable nozzle, charging base, good suction, lightweight, stores accessories on base Cons: a little difficult to snap in and out of base (not a 1 hand job), nozzle doesn't stay extended, bigger items can get stuck in flap, price is mid-range (there are cheaper hand vacs out there)

I was able to try out this hand held vacuum thanks to Dirt Devil! They sent it for free so I could review it. It's super handy and lightweight! Straight away I was impressed with the stand it came with; it's convenient for storing the vacuum and included accessories, while also being able to charge the vacuum at the same time. I've used this to easily clean up crumbs from my kids, get up close to my floorboards, and even clean those cobwebs that seem to pop up overnight. It's simple to use and even my girls can use it without assistance to clean up their messes (They are 4-6 years old)! My only con with this handheld vacuum is that it didn't do such a great job cleaning the dog hair from my leather couch. It seemed as if there wasn't enough suction to get everything. Overall I am very happy with this product! It's easy to use and much more convenient to grab for small messes. I'll be using this to clean out my vehicle as well!
