We’ve used one that took a temperature from the ear and I felt there was too much room for variability when trying to gauge if the positioning was correct. With this no touch forehead thermometer it tells you if you have the device positioned correctly and it makes it super simple for adjust to the correction position if you are off. Another huge plus is that it is super quick. This is especially if you have younger kids or sick kiddos who don’t want to sit still. I love the color coded feature to easily let you what range the temperature is in using a simple red-yellow-green system. I can’t find any cons or drawbacks to this thermometer!

The plastic cover part just needs to be pushed slightly to stay on. There’s an option to turn off the sound which is perfect if you need to check in the middle of the night. It’s straightforward, turn it on and press the temperature button. Easy to put inside a diaper bag for on the go and easy for the grandparents to use. I think it would make a great baby shower gift because of the simplicity. The screen is easy to read. I haven’t had this long enough and used it enough times to speak to the battery life. I am replacing a product I already have with this.

No germs would be shared between the kids because they didn't have to stink anything in their mouth like a normal mouth thermometer. 2. I didn't have to wake the child up to take their temperature. I could hold them up like when rocking them and could easily take their temperature. 3. It was very fast and easy to take their temperature. It only takes 2 seconds. There thermometer was very easy to use. It came with 2 new batteries already with it so you didn't have to worry about that. You can also turn the volume to mute so it doesn't make any sounds. I also like how it came with a cover over the head part of the thermometer. I would definitely recommend this for everyone. It's great for newborns all the way to adults. I was very pleased with how well and quick it worked.
