Not accurate, will scare you

I have no faith in the thermometer industry. What a scam! I tested it against a medical grade one I got from my lab out of curiosity. Turns out it was way off, and read high. This provided a huge scare to us. I can’t believe these are approved to be on the shelves. All of these promotional reviews are lies.

Expensive device led to ER

Thinking at $54, this would be a top of the line thermometer for our boys. We've had it for less than 3 weeks, rarely needed it. Today our 2 yr old was warm. Ran about 104° all day. Nurse said to watch it with meds. Tonight he spiked when it read 108° Frantic we headed to ER. Double Ear Infection but with a temperature that registered 101° the first time and 103° the second on the ER thermometer. Testing our Braun we brought along, immediately testing after, it read 108°5 and 107.2° respectively. The ER nurse and doctor said it should go back immediately and gave us one to take home...that read 100.5 as we left. What a completely scary unnecessary few hours due to a product that obviously doesn't do what it needs to do. No more Braun products for this family. Can't take the intense scare we experienced again. Old school mercury thermometers you get for $1.99 will be more accurate.

Please save your money!

The one i usually get wasn’t available. I needed one asap though my toddler has fever with the flu. Try and get a different thermometer if available. Took this one with me to the ER so when they took his temp i could compare. I did feel like i was getting inaccurate readings from it. And i was. You would expect a 50$ thermometer to work right. But no.

What a fraud

This thermometer will be the worst product I have ever bought since I was born. There is no accurate at all reading like others it kept giving us a heart attack when it kept giving readings of 106 and 107 for our kiddo. We were rushing to the emergency because of this thermometer. We followed instructions to the T. And for almost 60 bucks with taxes? This is theft. Target should ban selling this because this is literally a life hazard due to extremely incorrect readings. All of the sponsored reviews are a lie.

Very Innacurate

Wanted to like it , but very inaccurate. Reading forehead at 96.1 , have Motorola forehead one reading 98.1 and an in mouth thermometer at 97.8. Tried it at least 6 times all same reading.

Inaccurate measurements

I tried it and compared with another thermometer and they were very different: this one said my temperature was a very low 95.6 while the other said I had a fever. This is very bad!

Absolute Worst Thermometer!

Not ever accurate. Not even close. School sent my son home with a fever. My trusted at home thermometer read a normal temp. I thought maybe it's old. Bought this product plus a 3rd cheaper thermometer. This product read a fever for everyone in the family. Original thermometer plus cheaper thermometer consistently read normal. Guess which thermometer the school was using? Yep, this one!! Very inaccurate. Tossed it in the garbage.

Horrible and Harmful

This is the worst product and is truly harmful. This thermometer measured everyone in the houses temp at 97.6. Guess what baby’s temp really was - 102.8. If I had taken what that Braun thermometer said as the truth my child would be dead. This should be off the market.

Terrifyingly Innacurate

Rarely, if ever, accurate. I’m sitting here with a slight fever at night (101 with in-mouth) and this thing is showing 104.8. We took my newly pregnant wife to the ER because this was showing 103.5 consistently, and she had under a 101. This product should be recalled.
