I compared it with other thermometers and the readings were within .02 degrees of each other. It feels like it only takes a second for it to read the temp. It does several beeping and changes to red when there is a fever. My favorite go to thermometer right now.

No need to hassle with a fussy little one who doesn't feel good to begin with. Just hot the power button, aim the thermometer at the forehead and in seconds you have a clear easy reading. The thermometer is digital and shows green, yellow and red with the temperatures shown. It has silent mode to not disturb your sleeping little one which is an added bonus. I love this thermometer, it is wonderful.

When my munchkins are not feeling well, I am able to pop into their rooms and check their temps without disturbing them, and this also makes it easy to not transfer germs. I like that this thermometer has an easy to read display, and that the display is backlit so that I can read it even in their dimly lit rooms. I love having this and use it often as well as have recommended it to other Mom friends!

I bought this thermometer approximately six years ago to use on my little one with autism. It is easy to use and is accurate. The people writing the bad reviews are not taking the temperature in the right spot. The instructions are very clear as to how to use this product and state that you will not get an accurate reading of the temperature if it is not taken where they show to place the device. FYI, the batteries last long. I have changed the batteries once or twice since purchasing this item 6 years ago.
