The umbrella was easy to set up once it was determined that the metal crossbar feet are not used with the fiberglass base. The metal frame can be turned and tilted for flexible placement and adjustment. My fabric lasted 13 months before it tore. The south Florida sun is brutal and this polyester fabric can't take more than a year or so. I will attempt to repair the 10" rip that appeared at the end of a rib with a tape designed for umbrella and awning use. The alternative is a $130 replacement from Purple Leaf for the 10' model. This market umbrella is nice, I'm just disappointed with the quality of the fabric. 2-year Update: The fabric continues to fall apart. I was able to repair the first tear with a clear tape designed for such use. Now, rips and tears are seen at both stress (at end of struts) and non-stress (open areas of canopy). I have had several other umbrellas at this same location and all have lasted 5 years or more. While the main frame still seems sturdy the fabric is very thin and inferior to other products. Fabric replacement will be a tedious affair due to the number of screws involved.
