Well only three and a half years and now I have to restart it every day. To me this is unacceptable. Another bad sign is the Linksys app hasn't been updated since July of 2022. Looks like there's issues at Linksys. I wouldn't buy anything of theirs ever again.

I purchased three routers and two of them failed within 4 Years and 4 months from initial purchase. I also purchased the Asurion 3-year extended warranty but the failures occurred 4 months past the warranty coverage period. The two routers also failed within a week of each other. I recently purchase another router to replace the first unit failure and I'll need to purchase an additional router just in case another failure occurs.

Plagued with issues:Slow functionality. On restart, have to reset the entire network every time.App is slow. One I ordered from amazon doesn’t seem original. Like it’s second hand or something. Cheap plastic feel.Running into connectivity issues.Just get a normal router you’re way better off.

I have passed the point with extended patience with this device. I will have to replace it.First, here is something I have never seen before and so bizarre with this device: Some of your devices connect just fine and for instance you can even stream your movie or news network. But then at the same time your kid start complaining about their connection to their online game with friends, they lost connection! Causes fights and yells of course because some devices connect but some in the middle of activity loses connection. Until you reboot! Of course, when you reboot all connections are gone, including the ones without any problems! Worse you have to do this all the time. Imagine the frustration you might have if you use the router also for work or even security. Your personal Ipad connects just fine but work computer cannot!Second, they advertised this device (mesh) as the one that when you walk inside your home and get closer to the other tower, then your device automatically switches to this closer tower. Nope! Never happens! Your device like your smart phone tries to stay connected to the one far away, struggles to keep the connection!Oh, the mobile app, I almost forgot to mention, another piece of "greatness." When you are in the situation above, if your phone or tablet with the Linksys mobile app you use to "manage" this thing, is one of the devices cannot connect at the time (while others connect just fine) you are doomed. You can't login to the app and see what is going on and potentially troubleshoot! You cannot see for instance which devices are connected, or nodes (towers) are in good shape, etc.More on the app. It keeps crashing... When it crashes, it goes to the Logout screen and enters in a loop. When this happens (yes it happens all the time) you have to kill the app and restart. If you have a "ton" of devices (one of the reasons people buy this product is probably to easily manage them) it will still be difficult to manage them because the app shows you the same device multiple times under different names, with potentially different IP addresses and even MAC addresses. This thing gets updates all the time, the firmware is up-to-date. Reboots happen too, at least for the reasons above. After years of ownership this is the point we have ended up with this LINKSYS MESH or I should say MESS !I might suggest a simple, but powerful "single" router (not a "Messh"), and then a separate router (WiFi) "extender." I am planning to do that and get rid of these over-promised, under-performing technology.

I've had these for a while, and always groaned about unreliable connectivity and frequent dropouts. I finally decided to do a factory reset and start over after numerous automatic firmware updates made things worse. Well, the factory reset doesn't even work (there are Reddit conversations that confirm it) and they both bricked themselves into becoming completely non-functional. Good riddance. I ordered something else finally.

Product was DOA right out of the Box!Linksys App would not accept any information for Set Up!Hearing Impaired and Customer Service is Phone only!Complete waste of Time and Money!

I have a large home and kept doubling down adding more nodes in the hopes to improve the reliability of my connection. I have 5 nodes now, but the Wi-Fi is completely unstable and my Sonos is unusable. Have spent over 5 hours on the phone with tech support reinstalling, downgrading firmware because they know the latest version is faulty, etc., but all in vein. Will throw them in the trash and start over with Eeros.

This is the second batch of Linksys Velop routers I have have. They start out great and the fir no reason, the Wi-Fi stops working. Restarting these things is getting old. I will not be buying them again.

I used the mesh wiFi system for 1 year. Prior to this I used the Apple airport which I never had problems with. After I switched to Lynksys my internet has been terrible. I tried everything, changing locations, even adding another $250 node and after spending more than $750 I gave up. I tried to return it to the Apple Store where I bought it but they only have a 40 day return policy.Dont waste your money like I did. Not to mention the countless hours I spent with incompetent customer service over the phone

Choppy signal on the daily. If you work from home, and need consistency with your signal, you are screwed.
