After suffering two broken legs, I gave this to my daughter to be able to work on her rehab. She said they are extremely quiet and she can use them when she is sitting at her desk. She said she is very happy with them.

Starting off, the deskcycle was easy to set up and assemble. The instructions were easily understood and it took less than 20 minutes to get everything all set.You get a set of batteries for the monitor that allows you to see your rpm, distance, time, and calories burnt. If you don't want that, though, the cycle is perfectly fine to use without batteries or the monitor. It's dead silent for me and fits perfectly under my desk.Only real con is the weight, it's heavy and a bit of a struggle to move if you're not used to heavy things. Depending on the size of your desk, too, it might be a little big. A bit tall if you're someone with a chair low to the ground, I had to switch chairs especially since I am on the shorter side.Highly recommend if you're someone who wants to add exercise while you work at a desk. It's easy enough to use that I actively forget I'm cycling if I'm on the lower resistances, and if you're someone who needs to keep your hands busy, it helps a lot. (At least personally, anyway.)

I'm a remote worker and my activity level has greatly decreased since 2020. I began to gain weight and decided, enough is enough. I researched dozens of under the desk cycles before purchasing the DeskCycle 2 and I'm so glad I bought it. I'm 56 years old, and in good health, but even if I weren't, level 1 is a walk in the park and everyone would benefit from that if they're not already doing so. You do need to use their app if you are going to correctly convert their calorie counter display, and unfortunately I cannot find one for Android users, only Apple. When I tried searching for the app on my Android device it stated that the app was for older versions of Android. They do have a website in which to convert, but obviously it is not as convenient. Go to app.deskcycle.com if interested. I still chose 5 stars because of the wonderful working condition of this desk bike. Too soon to tell if I will lose weight/increase energy level, but very impressed thus far!

This was easy to assemble, easy to position, and is quiet in operation...just what I was looking for. A couple caveats:- if you're bigger than a child, actually riding this thing under a standard desk is difficult - your knees will strike the underside of the desk. I'm 6' with 27" clearance under the desk. I would need 32" clearance to make this work. I have to pull the machine out to use, and am then not actually at my desk. Still great on required conference calls where I just need to pay attention and not present. just plan accordingly as you imagine placing and using the machine.- Your desk chair will roll backwards as you pedal. Think Newton's Laws of Motion here. I just ordered some casters with brakes to fix that issue. Grasping my desk with my fingers to hold steady is harder work than the pedaling!- I'm hoping the straps for the pedals will begin to stay open as I hate bending over to open them. Since the cranks have a standard pedal thread, I may change over to one of my SPD pedal sets and designate a pair of my SPD shoes for this device.

When I first picked this up, I honestly had low expectations. I don't enjoy cycle machines at the gym, but I love cycling outside. Finding the time to cycle or any consistent exercise when your tied to the desk during the day, or even when you're trying to decompress at home is a chore at the best of times.Day 1, four bolts, and setting up the monitor with it's cable extension and you're off to the races. Did about 4 hours and 50 miles on resistance 3 that's about 30 miles real world per their online converter. Totally forgot that I was even cycling. Didn't interfere with work, shows, or gaming. It's amazing how seamlessly that you can integrate this activity into your daily life.Over the next week, it was easy to put up 6-9 hrs and get up to 50-70 real world miles in per day. Legs feel great, you might have a slight bit of doms the first couple days. Take some nitric oxide and slow down and you'll recover fine.I highly recommend combining this with an adjustable desk. It makes it easy to find the right combination of desk height and a comfortable position. The unit developed a click by the third day during use that broke it's otherwise silent operation. Tracked this down to a faulty bottom bracket by the left pedal arm. Replacement was easy and the new unit is working like a charm. Will update if any other issues arise.Love this so much I got one for my Dad.Only note to the manufacturer is that I've opened up three of these units now, and each one has had crushed AA batteries for the display. Not a major issue, I've got spares. Probably worth a look at packaging though to see where these pinch.

I was hesitant to get this product as I'd had a cheap version of this years ago and it didn't go well. Well let me tell you, they have come a long way since then and this product is amazing! I wish I'd looked this up sooner. It is well worth the $200 price tag. Solid and sturdy quality similar to what you'd find at a gym. It is also easy to assemble. You a total of 6 major pieces to put together. Tool and screws come with it. And it is so quiet, no noise at all. I actually did a client interview while using it (On tension 1) for 30 minutes and it gave me a good workout while at the same time not disrupting my flow.In fact, I find myself organically putting my feet into the pedal straps and pedaling while I'm at my desk. After a while I forget that I'm pedaling and I'm just focused on my work. A word of caution to Diabetics, this thing WILL give you a *true* cardio work out and will lower your blood sugar like crazy. Be sure to keep something sweet nearby, incase you get too low on this thing. This is perfect for the home office or the office at your company. It's portable, but it's a bit heavey, not too heavy to transport it to the living room LaZBoy or couch, but you probably won't be doing that too often.Anyway, check this out: At the time of this writing 30.Nov.2021- Amazon has these deals that let you get this thing for $75. So I went to buy this product a few days ago on and it said that if I signed up for an Amazon credit card (with no annual fee) then Amazon will give me a $100 gift card off this product, making it only $99. Then the seller had an additional coupon that knocked off an additional 24 dollars, so in total I only had to pay $75. Isn't that wild? I can't wait to see how my health looks 6 months from now. I know I'm going to shed some of this weight and baggage and look and feel so much better....gonna look so good like movie star! lolUpdate 12/8/2022 - I have lost 60 lbs and have been able to get off all but 1 medication since using this cycle daily for at least 45 minutes to an hour AND dieting , i.e. carefully tracking my calorie consumption. This is a really high quality item!

Had my son-in-law put together he said I could have done it! I’m using it every day and keeping track along with my pacer app. Using this as my PT. Noticing results. This is a great little product, it’s heavy, doesn’t move on carpet and durable

I bought this bike for under my desk to encourage me to get moving more and more during the day, and love it! I have had it for several months with no issue. It's low enough profile where I don't hit my knees under the desk, and you can barely hear it while you are biking. I love the little counter, and keep it on the desk in front of me to see how long I have biked for the day. You can even change the level very easily if you want to start challenging yourself. It is easy to just mindlessly bike while you are sitting at your desk working. I have noticed a change in the toning of my legs too since I started using it, and my pant size seems to be going down. I did not buy this for the purpose of weight loss, but it definitely is a nice side effect of using it.

For this review, I'm covering the areas of concern I had before I purchased this:1. Knees touching the desk2. Ability to still reach keyboard3. Rollback from higher resistance settings4. DistractingKnees--------------------------------I have an IKEA Malm Desk with drawers (not the one with the pull-out panel). Because I'm a shorter person, I needed a desk that was low, so that my feet could touch the floor while sitting on an office chair. My desk is 26.5" from ground to the underside of the top of the desk (28.5" total, but there's a 2" block from the surface.) I'm 5'5, and my legs are 31" long (from ground to the bottom of my butt cheeks). My lower-leg length is 21.5" from my feet to the top of my knee cap. I wear crocs classic clogs at home, and also while using the DeskCycle. Despite all this, my knees have never touched the top of my desk while using the DeskCycle. I don't cycle close to the machine, and from a knee-joint health perspective, you shouldn't. That being said, if I were to cycle close to the machine, my knees would definitely hit the top of my desk.Reaching the Keyboard--------------------------------I do have to sit closer to the edge of my office chair to reach my keyboard/mouse, but this is a non-issue for me. I always sit in an office chair with a pillow for my back, and so while using this product, I will fold the pillow in half. Doing this still ensures the pillow supports my back, while still allowing me access to my keyboard/mouse without strain, and able to cycle comfortably.Rollback--------------------------------The resistances are from 1-8, and as long as you don't set this to a 4+, you will never need to worry about rollback on a plastic mat. Rollback will not occur if your chair is on carpet, but my chair is on an office chair mat. Obviously you can use the provided cord to strap your chair to the DeskCycle if you really want to have higher resistances without rollback. I haven't tested the DeskCycle resistance settings + office chair on a super slick surface, like polished wood, tile, or marble flooring, so the resistance before rollback may be lower on these. There's at least some amount of friction given on an office chair mat.Distracting--------------------------------I have read other reviews saying that this is good while reading, but not necessarily good for writing emails or doing actual work. I can't speak for others, but as someone with ADHD, the DeskCycle actually helps me focus, especially when there is noise. Something about funneling my energy into this kind of movement, instead of letting noises bounce around in my head while trying to bounce my legs while sitting, or flicking my fingers, really helps me focus. This is also good at helping me not be overwhelmed if I'm frustrated by noise or other distractions. There are also other benefits to using my DeskCycle. My feet and hands are always cold. ALWAYS. COLD. Using the DeskCycle warms up my hands and feet within just a few minutes, so it's added incentive to use it. I mainly purchased this since my career involves sitting at a computer all day, and I was worried about potential blood clots. I also played a ton of soccer growing up, so I try to only do activities that are joint friendly (I'm looking out for my future self). This is definitely no longer a concern thanks to my DeskCycle, and while this won't replace an actual gym session, it's definitely toning my legs. Great for blood circulation. Easy on my joints. Definitely worth the one-time investment.
