Worked great for 2 weeks then…. Decides to turn into an oven and heats > 89deg… unplugged and that the way it’s staying

Unfortunately I bought this in February and I wasn’t making ice yet but the weather has started heating up and I started to make ice this machine is so loud takes a long time to make ice and then you have to drain it if the ice melts my other one doesn’t do that it continues to use the water in the bottom. I hate this product and I would never buy it again or suggest anyone to buy it

UPDATE!! After using this for several months, it came time to clean the machine. The instructions indicate the machine COMES APART for easy cleaning. IT DOES NOT COME APART!! Impossible to clean!!! This thing is essentially disposable!! ————————————- We have been using this everyday for several months. This is one of the best things we’ve purchased in years. You’ll be surprised at how much you’ll like this thing.

I tried contacting the manufacturer/seller and had multiple emails back and forth. They told me to clean it, but they are missing the point. It should not get mildew or mold at all when plugged in and running 100% of the time! They refused to refund me or provide another one as this one is clearly faulty. They Offered a small percentage refund, which I refused. I paid for a working ice maker not a mold maker. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! It was plugged in and running for 5 days, never turned off, and then started to Mildew. We used bottled water. The ice melts and does not stay cold. It is a piece of junk and we paid Full price!!! And expect a full refund!!! I even sent pictures and the seller DOES NOT HELP AT ALL AND REFUSES TO REFUND!

I’m very upset to search for a specific brand that self cleans and find out that the advertisement is false. After reading the manual and it says u have to take apart and clean It ...,, I was very mad. It states in the description Self Cleaning ice maker. After inspecting the ice maker there is no button or anything to reflect that it self cleans.

Right at 1 year, the coating on the metal ice form detached from the copper and started dumping debris in my ice, making it extremely metallic tasting, turned the water blueish in color - ruined the taste of everything but made it easy to figure out. The warranty on this unit is only 3 months, so you will need a small appliance warranty to get it replaced. I would not buy it again. Went with a different brand once I got my warranty reimbursement.

The media could not be loaded. Received this ice maker and was happy but it quickly faded. I unboxed it and let it sit upright for 24 hours before giving it a thorough cleaning and plugging it in. First thing I noticed, ice was not completely solid (hard). Yes it was clear however it did not last long in liquid and it often dropped into the ice bucket in one big perforated piece of ice instead of individual pieces of clear ice as advertised. Once I broke the ice up and put the ice in the freezer the pieces would become solid however the ice would become cloudy and no longer clear. The start of the third week was the beginning of the end. The ice started freezing up into one big solid block in the evaporator and could not drop down into the ice bucket. I would have to turn off the machine for 24 hours in order to melt the ice block and then I would power the machine back on. I would have to do this every other day. While that was going on, the ice maker started making this loud grinding noise. Same procedure as before, power off unit for about 30 minutes and then power back on and then noise would go away but then ice would form into one big block again. The start of the 5th week it no longer worked. All it did was make a really loud grinding noise, never again producing ice. Customer service is located overseas and had no phone # to call. All communication was done via email. They had no solution for the problem but did require me to send in a video in order to verify my complaint. This went back and forth for about 5 days before the refunded me all my monies. At first they offered me a 60% refund and said that I could keep the unit instead of returning it back to China, that they could only give me a full refund after unit was received back in China. $332.00 spent for 5 weeks of use is not a good purchase. Stay away from this unit and this company as I think they are resellers. In the end, they did finally refund all my monies after some back and forth. I would recommend that you send all correspondence through Amazon as they keep records and can see what is going on with you and vendor. Lastly, copy and paste all your response to a Word doc for your record as well.
