I have using H&R Block for the last 10 yrs

I always get a great deal on this software from Amazon.

STOP STOP STOP Don’t buy this if you have a Mac. This years version won’t even let you activate it. I just spent 4 hours today trying to deal with H&R to get it working …it never did. I was transferred at least 6 times, chatted with AI countless times, had my calls dropped, etc, etc. Just the worst product/support ever! Unless you are counting last years version which did install ...but they never figured out how to get it to print out my return after dealing with them for over a month. yes I still use the USPS to mail in my return. Don’t get suckered in by the low price… The fix for last years problem was to buy TurboTax and take a loss on the H&R Software (no refund). …and it is looking like it may be this years solution as well.Jan 18, 2024 Update - Amazon granted me a one time exception & will be crediting my account for both years versions ....ThankYou Amazon ;)

I switched from TurboTax a few years ago after they move features from the product I used to a more expensive product. Does the same thing as TurboTax but cheaper. I'm glad I switched.

I've used H&R Block for years with no problems. HOWEVER, tying in games to purchase it SUCKS!!!. I'll remember not to go through Amazon again for tax info.

Although advertised as requiring macOS 10.15, this seems to work just fine with macOS 10.14. 10.14 is an important OS release, as it's the very last one that has 32-bit App support. This is the same scenario as tax year 2022; that year the program ran from start to finish without problem, and I was able to successfully file federal and California as well as print for my own records.

I always use the software for taxes and so did my wife. It seems to always work well, and has answers to most questions that you have as you go along doing your taxes. If you buy it directly from the manufacture and something goes wrong you’re out of luck because you have to deal with tech-support for an endless period of time and it’s very frustrating. I had that happen one year and decided I would never buy from them directly again, and I’ve been buying it from Amazon ever cents Downloading is easy and you get your authentication code and it just works out fine .
