Crap, replacement Crap, 3rd we will see.

This is my second.... Not by choice as we move to the third. First unit lasted less than a month, before not working. Spoke with Amazon rep, THEY WERE GREAT Replacement came very fast, but ended up being someone's Bed Bath and Beyond return... complete with there billing and address information. Yup, replacement didn't work straight out of box. Called manufacturer direct, another replacement on way. So guess we will see, but not buying any high dollar items of Amazon in future, deals or no deals, amount of time wasted offsets initial savings. When this thing works, it's cool, not too bad, cleans well, but not worth it overall, spend the money on a real vacuum. When it'sworking, would recommend for if you got a busy week and the house needs a touch up

Broke within 4 months; warranty sucks

Quit working within four months. After over an hour on the phone with support they determined the brush needed replacing and the warranty did not cover shipping and sales tax. They totaled $26.Next time I will buy a cheaper knock off and take my chances.Edited to add: The brushroll never showed up. Instead of spending another hour+ on the phone I decided to see how much it would be to just buy one. On Shark's website a brushroll is $15 plus tax and shipping. The total came to $25.75. I don't know why Shark is treating customers this way. It just seems so underhanded to say you are charging only shipping and tax when you are actually charging full price. I will never buy a Shark product again.

I need to return this

You have to use an app on your phone to set up cleaning schedules and preferences. My shark robot won’t even start the explore run of my home to get started, which has to be done before all features on the app will work. I had a much cheaper EUFY brand before the shark and that is what I am going back to

Works until it doesn’t

The Shark vacuum worked well initially until one day it no longer was connected to wifi. After that initial issue, it wouldn’t reconnect. Hours were spent resetting my phone, my wifi, the vacuum but it still didn’t work. Most of the time it wouldn’t even detect my wifi on the list when trying to pair the device (which wasn’t an issue when I initially set it up) and when it is listed it notes that the wifi password is correct (which it isn’t) and then doesn’t pair. If it can’t perform scheduled cleans without wifi connection, I’d like my money back because this is why I originally purchased it.Update: Spoke with Shark Customer Support many times and they still couldn’t resolve the issue. I was told by two different agents that my robot is faulty and the next step is to send me a replacement but then they never do. To rule out network issues, I confirmed with my internet provider that my WiFi network is bifurcated so connecting to 5 GHz network isn’t the issue. I’ve spent at least 6 hours on the phone with Shark Customer Service, talking to various people. They’re useless and they don’t ever actually call you back when you provide availability for call backs.

Horrible DO NOT BUY

Hate this Vacuum. Only worked fairly well for one month. The next two months kept breaking down would only run for short period of time and then stop. I cleaned it every day but it did matter how well I took care of it. This product is pure junk and the makers of this product should be ashamed for raping people with the outrageous prices. They don’t stand behind their products at all. They shouldn’t be allowed to sell this garbage. I wouldn’t Even give this a one star it should be a negative (-10) but you have to give it at least a one in order to write review.

I think mines defective

EDIT: Decreased rating to 1 star. My shark robot had a stuck wheel. The error notification said to contact support. Nothing is blocking it. Nothing is caught in it. It spins when I move it. When I try to clean or return to dock it just spins in a half circle and quits. When you look up support on the app, it doesn't give you the option to speak to anyone. Just a guide full of "resolutions". My resolution was to remove any blockage and clean the wheel... pretty sure that's not my issue.I spent a lot of money on this thing and haven't even heard a peep from the customer since my original review. What do I need to do to get a new one of these? It's so bad! It's too much money to just "let go of the subject". I bought it when it was full price.Original review: It started out okay, but it's getting louder and louder. It's at the point now where I don't like to run it. If I don't run it on max, then it won't pick everything up.One of the little sweepers on mine also fell off. Probably got sucked up and self emptied. I would never know until it's too late.If they sent me a new vacuum that doesn't break and actually does a good job, then I'll change my review to 5 stars. For now, it only gets 2 stars because it somehow broke itself.

Lasted 5 months

When it worked it wasn’t a bad vacuum. Did a decent job of picking everything up. It was delivered 8/10/22 and ask of 01/20/23 it has gone retarded. We had it on a schedule to clean everyday at 11AM. All of a sudden it started just coming off the dock cleaning for about 10-15 minutes then would return to the dock not even coming close to cleaning the whole map. Battery would still be reading near 100%. Things progressively just got worse. After factory resetting it and reconnecting it to Wi-Fi it plain just wouldn’t map the house like it did when we first bought it. It will come off the dock and start mapping and get a fraction of the mapping done then return to the dock. I have tried remapping probably 30 plus times or so and the same thing happens each time. I have factory reset it at least 10 times and still nothing. Finally gave up and have run it at least 50 times hoping it would just learn the house again….wrong. It comes off the dock and cleans then can’t find the dock when it wants to empty so i usually “guide” it back. Chocking this one up as a lose and moving on to a Roborock. Oh ya and trying to get a shark rep on the phone for help….good luck with that.

Not Smart enough

Edited review 6/18:Edit: I'm still debating on whether to return or not (depends if I can find a decent replacement), but this product isn't supported with Google Assistant anymore according to Shark support (which is how all of Shark's documentation tells you to set it up). After several weeks of waiting for advance support to call me back and multiple calls asking for that call, I got one today. The short of the conversation is that there is very limited functionallity with Google Home. You can attach it through Google Home, but you can only do basic commands by saying, "Hey Google, tell <robot name> to clean <room>." Anything outside of that isn't supported and is definitely not documented in a way I can find (or support can point me to). This includes the using ultraclean which by Shark's own videos is activated by saying, "Hey Google, Ultraclean the <room>." Which does not work. The vacuum itself is great and does a good job. I've had not problems with mapping and vacuuming. I went with Shark because I've spent thousands on Ninja products and have had no issues with their products. However, with the limited customer support that wasn't knowledgable, the time it took to talk with someone who knew the product, the mobile app making you log in every day, and the complete lack of functionallity with Google that is promised in the very description of this product (and by Shark), I would recommend not only choosing a different vacuum, but selecting a company that isn't Shark. I would not trust Shark to completely ruin more functionality later and makes me question other claims they have, like how well the HEPA filter actually is.-----Original Review 5/27Vacuum works ok, but app is lacking and I have not yet got it connected to Google Home/Assistant in a working way. I can get the vacuum in Google Home, but Assistant wants me to connect my Google account to the Shark account which I haven't been able to do. Customer support was horrible and couldn't walk me where I needed to be on my Android phone. They kept saying going to settings and couldn't clarify where (phone, Google, Assistant, Home, or somewhere else). They just esculated. The box was also pretty beat up and was a clear return (everything was still wrapped). They left the previous customer's info sheet in the box.The vacuum itself did ok on the 1st mapping and cleaning, but not being able to integrate it with Google Home and the lack of features within the app makes this extremely disappointing. At this point, I wouldn't recommend a Shark vacuum to anyone.
