Item was clearly used, not sure why the manufacturer would be doing this, it was in a generic brown boxed, robot and base was all scratched up and brushes were worn. Shady
Got the wrong product
After three weeks of every other day use, an error message started popping up, but no error was identified through the app. Spoke with company for over an hour. They (shark) offered me a replacement part, but had the audacity to ask me for shipping for a product that was released too soon and very faulty. After I threatened the refund, they offered me a one time offer of them paying for the shipping for their broken product. I only gave two stars because after I continue to thread a refund based on principle, as well as lack of confidence in the product overall, they stated I was still eligible for a refund as long as I got it done before three months. By the time the new part comes in, it will have been 2 1/2 months. So I will have two weeks to determine if this thing is going to break again on me. I do not recommend this product.

Update: I had it redo the map 2 more times and it will finally go to rooms, but still will not avoid the no-go zones. It also does not avoid obstacles well. It gets hung up in furniture, pushes around the cat dishes and bangs hard into furniture. It's not much better than my old one with no map.Original review: Let me map the space just fine but refuses to go where told. Just goes in circles like my early model roomba did. Also gets caught up on furniture (especially IKEA poang chairs) and bangs it a lot to free itself. Avoids some of my rugs. Not sure if mine's defective based on other reviews. I want to like it but it's probably going back.

The product would be wonderful if it worked as advertised. The part that is supposed to blow out blasts of air does not work. It also came in an obviously re-taped box, so I assume it was previously returned. Upon trying to return the sweeper I was informed of a restocking fee of up to as much as 50%. I am still working with the seller who claims that they have no control over re stocking fees. Great sweeper, I would recommend going through a different seller.

I have had this product for about two years now. Within the first few months, the vacuum basically stopped vacuuming. I have to sweep my house after I use this. The app is horrible is constantly signing me out, I then have to set my whole vacuum up again Map my house again. Half of the time it won’t run because of some kind of notification saying some thing isn’t working. Horrible horrible. The first few months it seemed legit. Now I regret spending this amount of money.

Based on the product description and positive reviews, I had high hopes for Shark AI vacuum. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the product description. I have a small home with about 600 sq ft of vacuumable floor space and 2 Labrador Retrievers. It took the Shark 4 hours to complete the job and even on the strongest suction setting, it still did a mediocre job of getting the pet hair on the carpets. On a positive note, I did find the app easy to use and the no-bag receptacle is very convenient.

This Shark AI Robot vacuum actually works pretty well - I bought it in early November 2021. Recently it starts up on its own (and is not on a programmed schedule) or starts when I close the app on my iPhone7. I've called Shark support twice now and instead of giving this product more stars I'd like to comment on the terrible customer support. The first time I called all they wanted was my information to register the product - which never showed up in my registration account. The rep recommended we do a face-time option, which I declined because the issue is a software problem and not a hardware problem. I added I have not done a factory reset and the rep did not comment when I mentioned that. Then hung up on me! I left a negative customer rep review as they had not addressed the issue I called about. Called back a few days later and tried again. The rep was listening and then refused to respond. I could hear noise in the background so I know Alicia could hear me. These types of games make me never want to buy from Shark again. If you can't help, or don't know how to help, just say so. But to pull this kind of crap gives all customer service reps a poor image. I hope this information will be helpful to others.BTW - I have 2 dogs and need to empty the main bin twice a week when running the vacuum 3-4x/wk. The filters need to be blown out with a compressor monthly - if you don't have a compressor you probably will not like this machine. It does save me some time on hardwood floors but do not be fooled thinking this will eliminate having to use a regular vacuum every couple of weeks because the Shark does not do very well on carpets or rugs - and I knew that when I made the purchase.I'm still reasonably happy with the unit and will update this review after I do a factory reset and have to go through all the reprogramming (mapping) to see if that helps. There is no app nor unit software update either. But the real problem is customer service, which is inexcusable.

Amazon was great about this and they did make it right with me BUT the point is that I have been through this twice before, and I waited to be sure I was getting the right thing. I ordered the newest model the 2502 but what I received was a refurbished older model, 2520AOUS. When it came in a generic box, and the bar code to scan to register the machine had been drawn through with a black sharpie, I knew that once again, I had been duped. Finally, I noticed the roller looked a bit scuffed up and it did in fact have some hairs in it. This is the 3rd one so far. The first didn't work quite right but I believe it was new. Came in its original box, but then it had an issue after 2 or 3 weeks, I returned it and it was replaced with a rebuilt one, not the same model which was not what I paid for and I returned it. I think may bite the bullet and buy it directly from Shark. They were always great when I needed a part for the upright vacuum. It may be more expensive but you will be sure you get what you pay for. For what it is worth....when they work ...they are great!! Tried Roomba and Samsung but the Shark ...when it is working as it was described in the literature....works really well and I have no complaints about that.
