[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very well made and compact option if you're looking for a mandoline and not willing to break the bank. It's made of sturdy plastic with folding legs, while the extra blades are stored within the unit itself. The blades are extremely sharp, so handle with caution. The unit itself is dishwasher safe, but the blades are not. They must be hand washed and can be difficult to handle since they are on the small side with sharp blades. I used a dish brush on a handle to keep my fingers away from the blades while cleaning. How the blades store in the unit was the main drawback for me. They store on the underside of the maindeck and are held in by plastic clips. The instructions state you just pull on a small piece of plastic and the blade is removed. But, there are 2 small clips that are holding the blade in place. If you change blades a lot, those clips may break off, meaning no more storage space for a blade. The hand guard is a nice size for safety and a must while using this mandoline. There is no place to store the hand guard on the unit, which would be nice for storage and safekeeping. I used this unit for slicing of onions and potatoes. It was very quick and easy. All cuts were uniform in thickness. The settings for thickness are 1/16, 1/8, 3/16 and 1/4 of an inch. Changing settings is very easy and quick, with the turn of a knob. If you enjoy making your own potato chips, onion rings and different types of French fries or anything that require a lot of uniform cuts. This unit is for you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love all of the different slicing options this product has! It was a little bit tricky to reassemble correctly, but once reading the instructions I got the hang of it pretty quickly. It's awesome that all of the different blades conveniently store inside the base, and folds up pretty easily. My only concern would be how it holds up over time. But overall, this is a great product that'd recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like all OXO cutting equipment, including their knives, these blades are sharp, but the grips on the mandoline legs help to keep it from slipping, even when things get wet and the food holder is just as wide as the cutting board section, ensuring an accidental slip won't result in an injury. I also love the built in storage for the other blades (there are four options, making it a versatile tool), to ensure they stay as safe from damage as the cook does! My old mandoline required me to change the blades to achieve different thicknesses, but this one allows you to alternate between four different thicknesses with a turn of a knob, which is a huge upgrade! I use it my mandoline for vegetable prep for dishes, to make salads, French fries and garnishes. It's faster than a knife and it's clean up, because the blades just pop out, is just as easy! The only suggestion I'd have is to add the iconic "Good Grips" rubber to the top of the food holder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love how thin I was able to get my potatoes sliced to make au gratin. I also love that I was able to make my own stir fry veggies. Sadly the white stains very easily. It's not a big deal but it means it's an item I can't leave sitting out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great product. It can slice things like tomatoes and onions with ease. It also is great about adjusting the width of the slices. I would say that the only issues I have with it so far is that the device used to protect my hands doesn't always work well. It wouldn't hold to the tomatoes I was slicing so I had to do it with my hand unprotected. It also isn't super easy to remove all the blades, but that does make it sturdier when doing the actual job. All in all I would say it is worth it, and thats just for the one blade, everything else is a bonus!

For the most part, I really like this mandolin. I wish the gripper was easier to use, I usually have to take it on and off the food multiple times to use all of the food and then there is still a chunk left over. It slices VERY well though and I love how easily it stores and can be cleaned. The thickness settings are super easy to change and nice to have for different dish options. Overall I would recommend!

This is my first cutter of this type, so I’m not sure how it rates to other? I have only used a few times so far, does what I need it for! Has some plastic tabs that look like they may not hold up to heavy use? Overall it suits my needs! Be careful cleaning I found out how sharp the blades are!!

Ordering online & store was quick & very convenient. Good brand, worth the price. The item has a lot of parts but I guess that's what happens when you have 4 blades, blade storage & dishwasher safe. There's so much you can use it for! Once you've taken it apart and put it back together it's easy to figure it out. Good instructions booklet. You will use a lot of manpower if you're making scalloped potatoes!

It's a nice piece of equipment but I think I only regret that it's not black of Stainless Steel board. I just tried it today and it was excellent! I did carrots and daikon, only thing is... the carrots stained the flatbed and now there's an orange stain that cannot be removed.
