It does what it needs to, but the blades could be sharper and I don't know how long it will last because it doesn't seem very sturdy.

The food pusher fell apart and I had to super glue it back together (the little rounded top plastic part came off). The blades are super sharp but the food pusher does not extend far enough down to get through an entire piece of food so you either have to slice the remainder of the item manually or, what I do is push it through with a fork once you get close to the end. It is overpriced for something that is not fully functional.

Meh. Good for slicing a zucchini. Good luck with a sweet potato. The blades are fairly intuitive to use, insert and store, forget the rest of the thing. I had to watch a You Tube video to figure out how to put it back together after taking the unit apart to wash it. The fact that it's plastic doesn't help its overall quality. Again, soft vegetables are fine, but the slicer will take flight across your counter with larger, heavier veggies. If you're looking for a highly durable, versatile mandoline invest in a more expensive stainless steel model. You get what you pay for.

This item definitely works well and is super sharp. So sharp I cut my thumb very badly! If you buy this just be careful.

I used this to prepare carrots and celery for soup. The carrots unfortunately stained the base of it after the first use and was unable to fully get the stain out. Other than that, the mandoline itself works pretty well.
