I bought this for our newborn. As a first time parent we didn't really know what were getting into. However this fit the bill, safe baby next to mom and allowed us to graduate the new one out after a few weeks. Did exactly what it needed to do get the baby to sleep and keep sleeping. Very happy with this purchase! It’s a great bassinet, a little pricey but worth it. Whenever my baby starts crying it rocks him back to sleep. The rocking part is gentle.
