Great option for co-sleeping!

I received a Sense2Snooze bassinet through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was really excited to try it out! My husband assembled it as soon as it was delivered. It was a fairly quick and simple assembly and took no longer than 15-20 minutes. We have been using it for 2 weeks now and I really like how easy it is to move from our bedroom at night to the living room during the day for naps (it has wheels). Our son seems to like the swaying feature but not the vibrating motion as much. The sound options are similar to white noise products we have tried in the past (rain water, birds, ocean waves etc) and it has a good volume range. However the sound quality isn’t great, it sounds a little static-y. Which might be great for helping the white noise sounds that infants like, but it gets to be annoying for parents. We used the “parent” feature the most. It’s the one that Graco has preset. While it definitely detects a baby crying, and goes thru it’s motions, my biggest gripe with it is that it doesn’t detect the crying soon enough. Our son had to be full on crying, for 2-3 minutes before it detected the sound and came on. I know 2-3 minutes may not sound like very long, but when your baby is crying it feels like forever. And by the time it activated the motions/sounds he was beyond the point of being settled by it. I kept wishing it would turn on as soon as he started fussing, because then it would have had a better chance to lull him back to sleep. When we manually turned on the rocking, as soon as he started fussing he usually went right back to sleep. Other good features are the color scheme. I’m not a huge fan of bright “baby” colors and patterns, and this was pretty shade of grey with white and grey pinstripes on the sheet and canopy. I kept a couple extra diapers in the storage pockets, but they aren’t large enough for much more than that. I liked the 360 mesh as well because we were able to see him from all directions regardless of what room we were in. Overall I gave it a 3 star rating because it’s a great bassinet for quick and easy portable sleeping, but if I were purchasing it purely for the Sense2Snooze option I would have been a little disappointed that it doesn’t detect the crying sooner than it does. Bassinet with Bells & Whistles

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to Stellar Panel for gifting me with this bassinet to try and review!! Before I start my review, I just want to say, I have a very picky three month old who is kind of outgrowing being in a bassinet. In other words, he’s independent and really likes sleeping in his own crib. So most nights we didn’t last long in this bassinet but I’m not sure if that’s just him being picky or he was actually uncomfortable and didn’t like it. However, there were many things I really enjoyed about this bassinet by Graco. First off, the crying detector is next level technology. I don’t think I’ve heard of another product that does anything like it and it’s pretty accurate too. There were plenty of soothing sounds to choose from as well which was very nice because sometimes my babe wants to listen to actual white noise and some nights he wants rain. Like I said, picky. The storage arrangement was very easy to access and the pockets were really helpful to organize different things into different places. The control panel was pretty simple to use and straight to the point as well. There is always some things that products can change to improve but there’s only a few that I can think of with this bassinet. I wish the mesh enclosure was completely mesh all the way around. My baby is a scooter and ends up pushed up against the side no matter how long he’s been laying down. Complete mesh sides would give me better piece of mind. The next thing is probably me being picky (wonder where my baby gets it from) but I just don’t find the bassinet that aesthetically pleasing to the eye either. It seems just very old school with the visor on it in a world where modern and sleek is all the rage. The “mattress” could be a little more thick and comfortable too but I think that’s every bassinet I’ve tried so it seems to be a safety feature more than anything. The last thing isn’t really a con or a down side but more of just something that seems pointless. I don’t really understand why there’s songs as some of the “soothing noises”. My baby does not sleep to music. It would make sense if this was something you were using in a common place like a living room or something to set baby down to do something really quick and playing the music so there’s no freak outs, but I have other sitting products for that (swing, bouncer). I just don’t see the point in a sleeping product to have the music. I only gave three stars because I’m not sure that my baby actually liked this product or not but it definitely has some cool features and is worth a try if you’re interested.

Good idea with poor execution

I originally thought this sounded like a good alternative to the Snoo. Although it seems to have great features they all come up short. The sounds are almost imperceptible and do nothing to soothe my baby. I have to use his standalone sound machine to soothe him which renders the cry detection technology useless cause it picks up the noise machine sound as crying. Speaking of cry detection, it generally doesn’t work. In a completely silent room it continued to “detect” crying and would cycle through different options continuously without any crying. Also on a random aside the plug is on the front leg so the cord has to run to the front of the bassinet. Mildly inconvenient only. On the positive side it is good for setting your own settings to help put a baby to sleep but falls short in doing anything if the baby wakes up so it doesn’t really help put the baby back to sleep. A few things that would make it stellar if you’re listening Graco: 1) remote control or app to be able to start or stop settings from another room 2) louder sounds and white noise 3) a timer to stop swaying and vibration after an allotted period of time. 4) quieter buttons (loud click that wakes baby when you press them)

Cry detection hit or miss

Innovative with the cry detection but it’s hit or miss. Whining and fussing get triggered. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
