This is to replace the same curling iron I’ve been using for a least the past ten years. My old one was starting not to heat sometimes and didn’t seem to hold tightly enough on to my hair anymore.

My hair is poker straight and white. This curling iron says it goes to 420 degrees...don't know if true or not...but it's HOT. Makes curling hair easier..one pass with rod...curls and they seem to last longer too! Good purchase.

I'll preface by saying that I am no hair expert. I'm typically a let my hair air-dry type of girl but this tool was simple enough to use that even I was able to get good results. After watching a few how-to videos and doing a trial run, I was confident enough to style my own hair for a wedding I attended. Even got compliments from my boyfriend who notoriously can never tell if I style my hair a new way. I bought the 1.25 inch iron and got beautiful waves that almost looked like my own but way better. Only thing to note is that the little moveable stand gets hot too! I absentmindedly went to move it half way through styling my hair and burned my finger a tiny bit. Of course, it's metal so obviously it gets hot but I didn't think about it before I touched it. It also does not come with a heat resistant mat but those aren't hard to find. Would highly recommend.

this replaces my old curling iron and I am pleased that I got this one. The coating on the handle is of a non slippery substance that makes it easy to hold on to: the spring is strong enough to hold my thin, fine hair to the iron: the barrel cleans easily if my mousse gets stuck to it. The swivel L-shaped cord takes some getting used to... my last one came straight off the iron instead of on a 90 degree angle that this one does..... have to watch or it will clear my desk. The cord is rounded and does not get caught on things like my old one... a definite plus. I would definitely recommend this product

This is my third Hot Tools curling iron. Nothing lasts forever but the ones I’ve had lasted a few years before they needed replacement. This size is perfect for my short hair. It heats very well and quickly. I’ve used other brands before I tried Hot Tools but this is as close to professional quality as I have found. So far I’m very pleased with this curling iron.

I Love this curling iron! It's the same brand and style that my hairdresser uses. The barrel on it is a 2 inch which is not an easy size to find. You can adjust the actual temperature on it and the clip is tight so it does a good job of holding your hair when you're using it. This is my 3rd one like this. I had issues with the cord/plug on the first 2 I bought after I had each of them for a little over 5 years with no other problems. The first 2 came with extra springs for the clip on the curling iron, but this one did not. However, it does give instructions on how to order a free one if the spring breaks. The clips on the first 2 I had never broke so I still have the springs from both of them to use if I need them. Overall, it's just a good solid curling iron and I would definitely recommend it.

I have been looking for one of these for a few years. I couldn’t bring myself to spend the money. I found this one for a good price, and so far it seems to be nice quality. It is easy to turn as you wrap the hair. It heated up quickly. The end does not get hot, so no risk of burns from normal operation; areas that you need to touch. I have naturally curly / wavy hair. This is a great size if you are not actually wanting to add serious curls. It adds shines, style, and lift with some curl depending on how you use it and the length of your hair. Much easier and faster than a straightener.

What a great curling iron. My hair stylist used this on my hair & I loved how it worked on my hair. She uses really nice tools for hair but most are very pricey (more than I would spend for these items) So I was really surprised to learn how reasonably priced this one was when I asked her the name of it so I could go buy one for myself. I actually ended up buying 2, one for my daughter & one for myself. Interestingly my daughter called me the day after I'd ordered hers, telling me about this great curling iron her hair stylist used on her hair that same day. I laughed telling her about my stylist using the same one on me. She was pretty happy when I surprised her with this new curling iron the next day. We've had them for about a month now & we just love it. We both have very long thick hair & this thing works wonderfully. It's smooth (hair doesn't get snagged in it), really light weight. I love how the cord part swivels as you curl too.I like how the little black knob at the end of the hot iron stays cool so you can hold it easily while holding your hair in the iron. It heats up quickly & has many different temp settings. Would highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. The tool is large so the curls are not tight at all. It’s for a loosewave pattern if you don’t want to wear your hair very straight.

This is a very nice curling iron. It heats up very quickly and I love the extra long cord. If using a high setting take care to use some kind of styling gel or product to protect your hair. I like using A bit of BioSilk on my hair before it's dry and then apply some lightweight styling hairspray. Not only do they protect the hair shaft, the hair seems to curl easier and the curl has more memory and body/bounce.
