[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'd never used an epilator before so I was a bit apprehensive....but I was pleasantly surprised! On first use, my skin was a bit sensitive but it calmed down quickly and now I've grown used to it. This effectively removes hair and leaves my skin soft and smooth - I also love the face washing brush!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Braun Silk-epil 9 SensoSmart 9/880 Wet And Dry epilator works like a charm! I have been using this electric shaver and facial cleaner for over 3 weeks now and I love it. The electric razor has reduced my shave time in the shower. My hair is growing back slower and I seem to need to shave just a bit less. The full charge has lasted me 3 shaves! The instructions state minor sensitivity could occur in spots, which happen to be under my arms. After an initial use, the sensitivity reduces and now is much better. The facial cleanser is another plus, it's a refreshing clean feel after use. I don't use it daily, but it has joined my regular routine.

This is amazing! I had a 5 year old epilator that just wasn’t cutting it anymore, so I upgraded to this. The best choice I’ve made in a long time. In one swipe I was able to remove about 90% of the hair-it would normally take me 4-5 passes with my old one. And this one seems to cause considerably less pain-not sure how they managed that. If you are on the fence just buy it-you will thank yourself in about a minute of use

It hurts, how can it not? With that being said, this was my first time using an epilator and I look forward to shaving less. I've only used on my legs and underarms this far. Arms hurt much worse than my legs. For me it was worth a try and I will use it again. Hint you must charge it before the first use!

Omg this is GOLD. I consider myself as a low tolerance person since I hated getting shots growing up (the pain of it haha) and I always shave. I had my experience with tweezing; however, I gave up the whole entire thing when I TRY to pull one hair out from my leg. I was hesitating left and right for at least a year if I should buy this or not. Glad I did because I am using it and having breezy legs for 3-4 weeks. Honestly, it does pinch a little. My recommendation is you should do small strokes- not a long one. Just until you get use to the sensation and build your tolerance (: Hope my review helps you guys!

Not going to sugar coat it, it hurts pretty dang bad if you haven’t waxed recently (whew!) but I managed to get through both legs and I know from when I used to keep up with more frequent waxing that the subsequent epilation sessions won’t be as intense as long as I keep up with it! It did work marvelously though, with the light I can see that I got every single hair. I did test out the shaver on my hobbit toes and it works well too. When I add up the cost of all those $10 boxes of wax strips plus the sticky mess this made sense.

Well, it’s an epilator so I hope no one rates this negatively due to pain! They hurt, fact of life. This one is very nice. Very solid, well made and certainly does the job. Nice features too.

This morning, I used my new Braun 9-720 to epilate my legs. I'm used to waxing, and this was much more comfortable and faster. It was SO easy that I decided to clean it off and epilate cheeks, neck and chin too. Model 9-720 made quick work of those pesky Granny whiskers and facial fuzz, but just like waxing, it left a few red bumps on my pale ginger complexion. My only suggestion is to do facial epilation at night, so any irritation can go away as you sleep. I was too excited at how well it worked on legs and forgot about this. So I'll spend a few hours indoors today. Tip for newbies: only epilate on freshly washed skin and apply rubbing alcohol afterward to prevent infections. Great product!

This is my first epilator. I usually shave with a razor, but I’m throwing that in the trash. The pain is tolerable. This did a great job removing hair. I did find that slowing down my pass or upping the speed did a better job. I read some reviews that said it didnt get the root. Maybe they didnt press down or something because I saw roots on the hairs I removed.
