A really good deal, first thing. Makes working on projects a lot easier than having a big cumbersome saw. Blade changes are easy. Maneuverability is great. Cord length is perfect. My only problem is that the blade cover handle takes some getting used to, since I'm right handed and it's on the left. Not a major problem, just something that requires an adjustment on my part. I highly recommend this product. I bought extra blades, but I have yet to change one. I'm cutting a lot of boards, building towers for a shooting range and rough sawn lumber for blind towers for hunting. This is on top of the jobs that I have throughout the spring, summer and early fall, doing handyman jobs.

This light weight, small 4.5" saw with a powerful motor, is great for small wood cutting jobs. It cuts down setup times and very easy to maneuver. I love WORX power tools quality and reliability. This saw is corded, so there is always the power you need to get a good, clean cut.

Works great

The first time I used the saw, I didn't get the blade tight enough, and the saw stopped working half-way through my first cut. I quickly learned to use the "Spindle Lock" (brake) button on the side of the saw to prevent the blade from turning. Then, using the Allen wrench provided, tighten as much as you can. I do this every time I use the saw, to ensure that the blade doesn't slip while in use.

Lightweight, compact, convenient, and efficient for light work. Made quick work of cutting 1 by shelves.Update: Used this little workhorse for a couple of months on a project and it performed very well. Also, a far better economical choice than having to continuously replace the lithium battery on my Ryobi cordless.

Just received it on Monday and put it to work on Tuesday all day long. WOW.... An incredible tool to have in your tool box. I am extremely impress on how this tool handles and to share my story.

This is a fantastic saw. It has a particular use and does that well. This is not a substitution for a full size saw. But a full size saw can never get the detail cuts that this can.Not an ether or. You can’t jam it through the material it will bog down but it will do a very controlled cut in areas where a full-size saw will be too bulky. Also it’s best friend I’d a Diablo blade.

Worx Worxsaw versus Rockwell Compact Circular SawI am a cabinet maker and am frequently asked to do maintenance and repairs on many 75 year old to 120 year old houses that cover my neighborhood. These homes tend to have many tiny places (closets and cabinets) I need to squeeze myself and my tools into to make repairs. A traditional 7.5 inch circular saw cuts speedily but is too unwieldy for such small spaces as these and a reciprocating saw is frequently too slow and too big.I received the Worx Worxsaw yesterday after spending several hours comparing it to the Rockwell 5 Amp Compact Circular Saw (at nearly twice the price depending on the vendor) which is made by the same Chinese manufacturer as the Worx. Despite all the rave reviews for both saws, I had hesitations about each of them. My concern was that the 4 Amp Worxsaw wouldn't be powerful enough for what I do and that the poor placement of the lock release button on the Rockwell and the Rockwell's 3 extra inches in length would make the saw uncomfortable to use in the cramped quarters I frequently find myself in.I opted for the Worxsaw. It came yesterday and I put it to use today in a tiny closet I needed to partially demolish.My concerns are gone. I love this thing. It cuts through a 2 by 4 effortlessly. It cut 1/2" plywood right along the straight edge I clamped to the board without creeping so alignment of the blade to the footplate is spot on. Depth adjustments are easy. It fits my hand like a tailored leather glove. The lock release is easy to reach and the hand position is genuinely comfortable. It small size makes it incredibly easy to maneuver even in very tight spaces. It even sounds good (you can hear the healthy whine of the gearing inside). The engineers coaxed the perfect amount of torque out of the motor when paired with the thin kerfed blade. Most importantly, the cut surfaces are clean enough for gluing if you need to do so provided you let the tool do its job without forcing it.I rarely review a tool online. This tool is a rare exception.To be fair, I have only had it for a day and have no idea how long it will last. Nevertheless it feels solid. It is not too heavy or too light for its size. I have noticed that Worx sells a similar tool in the UK with a laser attached. I wish I could have purchased that as it would be a help for the kind of work that I do.My recommendation is that you don't concern yourself with the power output in comparison to the Rockwell. This is a stellar tool.

I was excited to receive this saw. I have a regular size saw but I do get tired of using it for small jobs. This one works fine. It took me a little longer to slide the blade on though, but it works great. I did order the slimmer handle one and it fits my small hands fine. I can't imagine the handle being any wider though. It is hard for most us women to grab or hold that thick handled saw to cut wood. If the handle was a little skinner that would make it perfect for me ...so that I will keep the extra star.
