Great little saw for DIY

Only having the use of one arm, I was always hesitant to use a full size circular saw. I've used this saw a few times now and it is pretty much perfect for me - no kickback, no significant torque twisting of any kind, and very well balanced. The hand grip is about the size of a soda can and the safety/trigger setup is not awkward at all, although it may take a little time to get used to finger placement. I always let the blade reach full speed (which is very quick) before starting my cut - don't force the saw and your reward is a clean cut. So far, I've only used it on 2x4 and smaller wood, with the supplied blade, and have had no issues.Another benefit of this saw is its size, it doesn't take up any more room than a smaller fire extinguisher or a regular size thermos. Long panel cuts, such as with plywood, may be tricky due to the small size of the blade but there was a guide included with my purchase which I have not used yet.

LOVE THIS SAW

LOVE THIS SAW! I'm a 65-year-old woman with a long history of DIY projects. I sold my table saw because it scared me to use it by myself any longer (I still have to work full-time and truly need all 10 fingers on my computer keyboard!). I have my chop saw, 10-inch circular saw, and jig saw, but none get used much for various reasons. I looked at this Worxsaw in its box for a week before I got it out to hold it and figure out how to use it. My first project was to put plastic lattice around my storage building to keep the dog from going under there and didn't feel a jig saw would give me the best cut. So, after I put on a different blade (finer teeth for cutting plywood), I began trimming the lattice to size. I was amazed how easy it was to maneuver and I never felt uncomfortable and as though it was going to run away from me. I have some arthritis in my hands, but the saw size was not too big or awkward for me to handle. I'm now dreaming up other projects for me and my new saw!

Nice small circular saw

I bought this to cut the plywood siding on my shed in line with the window. The original plywood had dry rot at the bottom. Much lighter than my full sized circular saw and I even used it to cut the new plywood pieces to replace what I removed. Likely will buy an better blade. The saw still cut smoothly and made the job much easier. A great buy.

Great little saw, especially for smaller hands

This is a great little circular saw! I'm a 5'2" woman with small/medium sized hands, and I can use this tool comfortably. (It would be even better if the grip was a little thinner.) I've always been afraid to use a standard size circular saw, even though I have 3 other types of saws that I use when I'm doing renovation jobs in my home. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it does blow around A LOT of sawdust! It even made seeing my cutting line difficult, and since I had a mask and goggles on, I couldn't blow the sawdust out of the way as I was cutting. I put thick blue painters tape down along my cutting line, which made it a little easier.I was cutting a laminate countertop and sink cutout, and it made nice clean straight cuts! I even did several plunge cuts with ease.If I were going to use it a lot more, I would consider getting a hose attached to a ShopVac to handle the sawdust, or just do all the cutting outdoors. If you're unfamiliar with using a circular saw, make sure to read the instructions and precautions first. It uses a lot of graphics to show different things.

It Doesn't Weigh Much, But It's Not a Lightweight!

I love the Worxsaw. I have never had any kind of circular saw and am teaching myself some new skills and redoing a bathroom. The only negative thing I would say is that I think the "manual" is pathetic. Everything is done with pictures, but they are not very good. So, the first few times I tried to use it, it would not cut and that was because I had a washer upside down. But from the picture, I thought I had it the right way. This could be easily solved by, say, putting a bit of green paint or marker on the side that should be facing up. I think I will do that for myself. There are some decent YouTube videos on using it, but a lot of them leave out the stuff that is important to a first-time saw user, like specifically how to install the blade, and instead just show themselves opening the box and then being totally clueless about how to work anything and saying, "Oh, I guess I need to look at the instructions." So annoying! But the saw itself is great.

Love my saw. Fine for smaller, more delicate hands.

I adore this saw. I was able to unpack it, review the safety guidelines and instructions, put on some goggles and start building right away. My first project was closet shelving. It may take some getting used to for those who are not used to power tools of this sort, so I recommend playing with scrap wood first and watch some YT videos. Still, even times I felt my alignment may be off a bit, the saw helped me to easily correct, and every time I ended up with very good, very aligned cuts. I love that it can tackle a 2x2 and a 2x4 easily. Feels good in my hand, and has good safety features. This saw paid for itself with it's first use. It stores away neatly and is easy to take back out for small, quick jobs. This was a good investment.

It worked very well for my 20 year old son who played my kitchen floor!

It's light weight and easy for him to maneuver cuts and corners, very little saw dust was left to clean up. I'm quite pleased with my purchase and look forward to my next home project because I'll be equipped with reliable tools in my arsenal!

I’m partial to “Worx.” Love their stuff.

Whenever, I need tools, I always look to Worx first. This little baby here, did it for me. After, I used it for a project I had, I passed it on, because for some reason (probably too many late night horror movies), my college age daughter, did not feel comfortable with it in the house. Lol, true story. However, this is a great inexpensive tool to add to your things for small projects. Great for ladies. The handle takes a little getting used to, because it’s a little thick.
