Nice saw but not for small hands.

After reading all of the reviews for this saw I decided to give it a shot hoping that it would fit my hands. I'm a fairly small woman (5'5) and my hands are quite small, so I was looking for a saw that I could use for my craft projects. This is sadly not the one for me. The safety trigger is just to far away to reach with one hand for small handed people. My thumb could just touch button but couldn't hold it down and work the saw. Had to use two hands to hold it kinda defeating the purpose of a one handed saw. My husband used it and really liked it. He said that it worked great for him but again his hands are very large and he had no issues. Overall this is a really nice saw for the price and it worked great it's just not for small hands. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Great portable saw and capable

Not having used many power tools beyond a screwdriver I was hesitant to go for a full table saw right away, in comes the middle man. I have since built a good handful of projects with this since buying months ago, while I haven't used it's full features such as 45 degree or shallow cuts what I have used have served me well. The setup was easy to install a blade and operate. It comes with a guide tool but it only works for cuts made around 10", it can be annoying to screw it in place as when you do it moves the measurement over so you have to play with it a bit to get it just right. On cuts bigger I had to resort to making my own fence, in those cases it cuts well as I've used plywood and birch mostly. Sometimes it catches on the wood, but if you go slow it works out fine. Sometimes my cuts were off but I'm sure that is mostly due to my fence probably not being straight, though you do need to keep a good force on it to make sure it doesn't start veering off your cut line. The stock blade has lasted me a good while, so I haven't tried any smaller tooth ones yet, that can make a big difference as well.As a starter saw for me it has allowed me to handle some small projects with taking up minimal space. Someone more efficient with these kind of tools can probably handle it better, next time I might just go with a small table saw to save me some trouble when trying to make smaller cuts without the extra hassle of a fence. For the price and portability though you can't go wrong to at least try it. I'd give it 3.5

Product: As Expected Directions: Sub-standard Warranty: POOR

I bought the Worx WX439L saw for a specific project cutting sections of plastic drain pipe. So far it has performed as advertised. The plastic safety shield seems flimsy -- there is a lot of play in the movement. The safety shield spring is light weight at best. Aside from the safety pointers, there are few, if any, actual written instructions for the user. Instead, there are a series of cartoon pictograph stills which leave much to be desired. If the user is already familiar with circular saw power tools, then you'll probably do OK. Otherwise, you'll likely be a bit baffled. The biggest problem I see with this saw is the lack of a credible, good-faith warranty. The document boldly announces a 3 year limited warranty. Once you actually read this gem, you find out that you'll have to pay both return shipping as well as the manufacturer's shipping/handling of the product back to you. After checking the most economical UPS ground rates for my zip code, my total shipping costs for a warranty repair would be over $50. The brand new cost for this item was $63, which includes shipping. This deal pretty much amounts to a warranty for suckers. Doesn't speak well for Worx Power Tools.

It's ok to use. excellent for beginners.

Has an incredible safety stop . so for beginners it is great. so if you are not cutting it properly it will stop. is useful for very simple products. good for craft projects and simple to intermediate projects. for intermediate to advanced use something else.

It’s just not that powerful. If it comes across a little resistance. It just stops.

It will cut a 2 x 4 if you’re very careful if you get off just a little bit It may just stop on you. I used it to cut Hardie board and I would not recommend it for this.

Doesn't Like Long Cuts or Thick Hardwoods.

The side guide is absolutely useless. But the saw comes in handy when making a limited number of crosscuts -- especially on 3/4-inch pine.
