Great little saw. bought it for my wife. My son, who is a carpenter by trade, tried it, and liked it for trim work so I bought him one as a gift. Would be 5 stars except that both my wife and I are lefthanded and it is definitely not ambidextrous. I will disable the switch lockout when I find the time. It seems that Worx could have fixed that design flaw, as 11% of the worlds population are lefty's.

Works great for the small jobs that I needed it for.

After my first use, I do wish it had a different type of handle because I have small-medium women hands and it feels very thick. The hard part is when you are done with cutting and you feel that you have to be extremely careful to stop spinning the saw disk but not dropping the tool. I have to flip my hand with the tool so it rests more in the palm of my hand and slowly see my fingers get off the pushing area. I'm thinking if returning it because of how it feels unsafe and thick. It would feel better if it had a thinner area to hold so I could hold it better or an additional handle because I anyway have to have one hand available just in case. I might as well be using both. It most be great for a big hand person.

I thought the larger barrel type handle was going to be difficult to get used to after comparing it to other 4 1/2" saws of this type. After using it I do not even notice it. It feels good in my hand. The safety switch is very convenient to use. The power seems very adequate, although I have not cut through any 2x4's yet. I do not like the adapter setup for the sawdust, but it is not a big deal. One thing I was very frustrated with, and I hope WORX is paying attention, is the fake saw blade they include with the kit. It looks good in the photo on Amazon, but on the first use with 1/2" plywood it got so hot and warped so bad it would not cut straight and pulled the saw to the left. I had to get a Diablo blade to do my job, costing an additional $16 and 2 hours of time finding a 4 3/8" blade. WORX,, make some better friends and include a good blade, even if it raises the cost a little. Sheesh!! That is why it's a four star and not a five. Too bad a cheap blade had to be the cause.

This was a bit heavier than I expected, and it would cut about 4 inches, and then shut down. I still haven’t figured out why

great little saw, cuts well and is easy to use.needs to change:thickness of handle for people who don't have huge man hands.better system to change the blade. The nut screws backwards of righty tighty, lefty loosey. I know this, but some people who don't use power tools regularly will not. It is labeled very small on the wing of the nut to loosen blade, but a simple sticker or molded into the blade guard would be better. Also the button to disable the blade from turning is on the opposite side of the saw, so this makes the blade changing procedure harder than it needs to be. I did use the saw for one year now and am just changing the blade. It was a challenging job and would have stopped most people from being successful. Had to use torch to heat nut, penetrating spray and finally a pair of vice grips and a hammer to get the nut loose. I stick a small screwdriver in one of the saw teeth straight up and down to it prevents the blade from turning. Using the red disable button was impossible while trying to wrestle the nut off.

I like the quality of the tool, but it was a bit difficult to hold it as it was too big for my hands. The tool itself is not very big, it's just I have small hands and it hurt my wrist to hold it. I did use it for a two 2-3 cuts. I cut two 2x4s in half without a problem. However, when I went to cut the next 2x4 in half the blade would stop as soon as it touched the wood. I wasn't sure if it was operator error so I asked my brother and he said the blade may need to be removed and placed back in again because sometimes the bolt gets loose and the blade may be out of place. So, I did as instructed and tried it again. Nope, it did not work so I am returning it and settling for a jigsaw instead. I recently found out that a jigsaw is usually the best tool to start with for beginners anyway. I hope this review helps people in case they plan to buy it for someone with small hands or for a beginner as a gift or for themselves.

Very well made and easy to use for small jobs around the house or at work. You may want to buy some good blades for it.

This has been a really nice addition to my tool arsenal. Very good cut accuracy, it's ergonomic design allows for great control while cutting. It's the perfect compliment to my 71/4 inch circular saw.

It is pretty good saw. I felt a lack of power while cutting laminate floor.
