We are from PA and grew up with cold winters. But now we live in SC which has cooler weather through the winter and some snow occasionally. These vests transition easily back and forth from Northen States to Southern . We always travel with them.

Update: after reaching out to the company they sent me the battery and charger since one was not in the original package. They we’re wonderful to deal with and had amazing customer service. When I originally order the vest, it was to small so I put it back in its bag. I tried it on to see if I could wear it tomorrow and it finally fits. I went to charge it and there is no battery or charger in the bag

This is by far one of my favorite purchases that I have ever made! As a man who works outside everyday winters are rough, and it’s very hard to stay warm on days colder than 32°. Ororo’s heated vest has exceeded all my expectations and significantly made working outside in freezing conditions so much more tolerable. Since It predominately heats your core, I’ve noticed that my extremities are no easier to stay warm. No more numb finger tips, my arms and my legs and feet are nice and cozy. The fit is perfect! Battery life on the power bank lasts longer then expected. No complaints at all. Just gratitude. Thank you Ororo!

I purchased one of these for my wife a year or two ago. This winter I’m building 4 houses at the same time on the water facing north. Yes, it’s cold. My wife said “if you wear this vest, your hands won’t get cold. “ that sounded like hogwash to me but I purchased one just the same. Yup, it’s a total game changer. I wear this vest under my jacket. On low this vest will last over 10 hours. Low is perfect under a your jacket and as you probably already guessed, by keeping my core warm, my hands are much mor comfortable.

My husband loves his vest but wore it last winter and then after wearing it twice this winter the battery quit taking a charge. I would like to update my review. After reading my review the company reached out to me and offered me $30 off on a new battery. They were very helpful and seemed eager to make a compromise since the vest was no longer under warranty.

I ordered this vest after my son bought one – he tried several types and recommended this one. He was warm during hunting season while I shivered so I knew I needed to get this. Rather than ordering a heated coat, the vest gives me the versatility to wear it under any coat or even over a shirt around the house by itself. Upon receiving it, I charged the battery as per the instructions, but my battery lasted less than 10 min once I turned the vest on. I tried my son’s battery and it worked just fine so it wasn’t the vest, but a battery issue. When I contacted the sellers, they were very helpful and promptly shipped me a replacement battery via 2 day shipping. With the extreme cold weather in our area this winter, I have worn the vest under my jacket and it has made all the difference! Getting into an ice cold car while feeling toasty warm under my coat has made the drive to work or the store very comfortable. I have even worn it on low when it feels cold at my office. I am the envy of my co-workers who are all looking at buying one too. I bought one for my daughter who is typically cold most of the time and she loves it. My only complaint is that the battery doesn’t last as long in my vest as those in my son’s and daughter’s, but they both have size medium and mine is an XL so my heating coils are a bit larger and may therefore draw more juice. I highly recommend this vest.

Bought the vest to use under my outer layers during cold deer hunting days in the Midwest. The quality and construction of the garment were very impressive. Charging the battery is extremely easy and I was happy that the battery has a built in meter to see how much of a charge you have. It is also nice that the battery can double as a power bank for your other electronic devices. Most importantly, this vest will keep your core warm. On medium level, you will definitely feel the warmth below your outer layers. It is a nice touch that it has heating elements in the collar as that is an area that is often exposed. I also found that hunting in below freezing temps the battery would keep me warm for 2-3 hour sets at a time. Beyond hunting, i have found it is great for late season football games as well as other times when you are going to be outdoors for a while. Long story short. I have some other heated items (socks, gloves, etc....) where you think that “I think this may be working”. This vest is top notch and when you turn it on you will have no doubt that you have a heated product on and know that you will be very comfortable in the elements for several hours.

My father’s heart works at 30% due to a heart attack several years ago (we are lucky we still have him in our lives). Because of this, the winters are really tough on him because he cannot stay warm easily. We purchased this vest for him and it is perfect! Keeps him warm and helps him get through the winter days in NC. Great gift and it does the job. His battery usually is around 40% when he takes it off at night. Thanks for making such a cool item to help out my Dad.

I got this vest for Christmas. I know it is supposed to heat up to 10 hours but I have not had it on for over 2 hours and the indicators still looked like it would last at least 2 or 3 more. It is easy to charge. I expect the battery pack is good quality because using a meter to monitor the charge rate, it accept a 2.85 amp charge. It looks like the battery pack and charge cord replacement cost would be over half the cost of the whole vest if you are thinking of buying a second battery pack, which I didn't do. I have not had the vest long enough to say anything about long term use yet, but it is very lightweight and the Large is a perfect fit for my 5'9" tall, 170 lb body. I will say it seems like I have few things to complain about in the first month of use. It meets my expectations so far. I would recommend it.

Updated-4/6/21 Well I read a ton of reviews before buying this. It fit well snug as expected but that’s what helps warm you better. Lasted 3 months before it broke. Went to remove the battery to charge and the plug stayed in and the wires are exposed on the plug to the vest. I contacted Ororo who stated that it was wear and tear which I complete disagree since the item was only a few months old. After reconsideration they sent me a new vest and battery at no charge. I would recommend being delicate with the battery connection in the jacket. Overall the best is super warm and comfortable. The battery is big but is not anything uncomfortable like some are saying. If you don’t get it snug or wear to many things under it you will feel like it doesn’t get warm. It’s meant to stay close to your body so make sure you order one that’s snug when wearing under clothing. It’s not meant to wear over multiple items
