This is a great umbrella! The material for the canopy is nice and thick. The corners are reinforced so the poles won't poke through over time. Both crank mechanisms rotate like butter, nice and smooth. The addition for the light at the top is awesome, as well as the velcro for hanging things is a great idea. Super easy to setup, and with the base this thing isn't going anywhere. Now if only our new patio furniture would show up to complete our patio! The only complaint is I wish there were a grey color.

The package and contents were well wrapped, so there was no worry about damaged goods. After opening, we found the assembly instructions very easy to follow. After moving it to our pool location, we had it put together in a few minutes. All the tools needed to assemble were included. We started to open it, but found that the optional base is definitely a "must have", to open it. We filled the base with water, then opened the umbrella. It is very easy to operate with the 2 crank handles (one to open & one to rotate) and the lever handle to lift or lower the umbrella. We did find that it took two of us to lift the umbrella onto its base.
