Leaky unit extremely not happy

When I received this unit after 3 days of using it, I started to have a leak. Now I have to seriously monitor this unit so I won't have a puddle of water on my bedroom floor. I followed the instructions from the manual but unit still have leak. This product also does not cool the recommended square footage that it normally calls for. I would recommend a better model to anyone before this one. Not happy at all

Worked great for less than a year - Costway only offers 3 month warranty

I do NOT recommend Costway products. They only offer a 3 month warranty. When a company cannot stand by their product quality for a minimum of 1 year, they must be selling inferior products. We bought the 10,000BTU model Costway Portable AC unit on May 28, 2020. I used it today for the first time in 2021 and it's blowing hot air (see photo after two hours of operation). This is such a letdown that a $300+ product fails to maintain it's coolant for one year and then I find out the warranty is only good for 3 months. I will be trying to submit a claim to my credit card for extended warranty coverage.

Stopped cooling.

It stopped producing cold air at the start of the second summer of uses. Compressor and fan still run. Just stopped making the air cool. Three attempts to contact company and have only received one reply that was an automatic courtesy reply.

Feels great when the vents actually open

My mom’s works great but vents are defective on mine. It barely opens and then closes right back up while it’s still trying to blow out air. I have to manually open it up. Who knows if it will even let me manually open it and work in the future. It DOES, however, put out cold air and cools down nice. Don’t count on sleep mode though, it doesn’t gauge room temp right. I just turn it off and on as I need it. UPDATE: This company has wonderful customer service and prompt correspondence! They offered me several options, including partial or full refund. I still think this a good product but I got a fluke one. It still does the trick though! Kept my condo cool through the last heat wave….I even used a blanket!

Can’t return the unit and it does not blow cold air!

Very disappointed!!! The unit has a cool setting and allows you to go down to 64 degrees, but it is not cold at all! We have had other AC units and this by far is a big rip-off.

This "10,000" BTU A/C for up to 400 SF is a joke and does not cool anything

My home is tiny, only 548 square feet. Before I got this A/C, I had a Della that supposedly cooled up to 250 SF. Then it died, and while I searched for and ordered the part to fix it, I bought a higher BTU unit, as the Della required I run a second unit. I use to set the Della at 82 degrees, and it would cool better than this Costway at 65 degrees. I am sitting here within 200 SF of the Costway, and I am melting at 86 degrees. This was a waste of money. I cannot recommend this product.

DO NOT BUY THIS AIR CONDITIONER

It worked fine for the first 30 days. So if you do plan on buying this get the service plan. So I purchased this on May 30th on August 30th it ran fine until then. Now It runs for a half hour and shuts itself off with a continuous beeping to let you know the water has to be drained. I spent the entire night unhooking it pushing it down the hall to drain. Then draining it pushing it back to my room reconnecting it only to have it start beeping a half hour later. A total nightmare. My room was stifilling hoot, so I had no choice but to battle with this air conditioner. If I had known this was going to happen I NEVER would have purchased it. I contacted AMAZON and they said it was a third party retailer and that they would contact them and they would contact me. STILL waiting on their contacting me. I'm really upset. I really don't have the money for this, my health isn't good. I really need to have a controlled environment.

Only works for couple of months!! And NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Don’t buy this, you are wasting your money I wasted mine last year. At start, it works not bad but the noise level is pretty high and sleep mode doesn’t help on the noise at all. I accepted the noise due to the price. I used 2 months last summer then I stored this very well. When I took it out 1 month ago, the cooling function doesn’t work at all. No matter how low the temperature I set, the air remain the same. And my room gets even hotter because the machine is very hot itself while it is working. I tried to reach to their customer service via Amazon to see if there is anything wrong but I didn’t get any reply after 2 weeks. This is very disappointing. I didn’t expect perfect quality on this but at least it should keep functioning normal for some time! Don’t buy this, you are wasting your money!
