Stopped working and won’t charge

Crapped out in less than a year with only moderate use, the case won’t even charge any more. I am so disappointed, I loved the other model of theirs I tired, but this one is so much worse.

Didn't last 6 months

Bought these in September 2021. I liked the case and charger and they worked fine for what I needed them for. For walks and making some phone calls. Not a heavy user and only use right earbud most of the time. In March 2022, the earbuds do not hold a charge longer than 10 minutes to 30 minutes. Disappointed.

Very bad sound quality

The sound quality of these earbuds is really disappointing. I was very excited about this purchase when they arrived, but the moment I put them on and I started listening to some music, I immediately noticed that something was off. I am not an audiophile or anything, but the sounds came out really distorted especially in higher frequencies. I'm not sure how to describe it. Kind of like an MP3 encoded at 16Kbps, but worse. Or like some old cheap earbuds that have been used for years and they have gone bad. I wanted to make sure that it was actually the earbuds that were bad and not the audio itself, so I listened to the exam same track with a pair of old iPhone wired earbuds and a pair of Taotronic TT-BH07 that I had bought for about half the price. They both sounded much better. Thinking that I just got a defective pair, I returned them for a replacement. The second pair sounded exactly the same. Very noticeably distorted high frequencies. I guess I am returning those for good and I will try my luck with something else. I don't know. If someone wants to use those these just to listen to podcasts or just to make phone calls they may be fine and they might not notice anything. But these are not for listening to music.

Save your money or buy something else.

These earphones are garbage. 1) If you want to use a singular earphone, it would have to be the right earphone. The left one won't pair if the the right one is out of battery or in the case. 2) The gummies for the earphones are custom made for this brand, so if you lose, want to change, or simply want buy extra gummies you have to buy it them from this brand. You guessed it, they are overpriced. 3) The battery life is about 8 hours, after that you have to recharge the earphones. 4) After about 3 months the left earphone stopped working. 5) The sound quality is not that good. 6) I had these earphones for about 4 months. After 4 months, the charging case stopped charging for some reason. I would connect the case so that it can charge, but is would not. If you can't charge the case you cant charge the earphones.

Affordale, Awesome True Wireless: Run, Lift, Chill (Maybe Not)

Below is my original review. I am ticking these down 3 stars due to the following reasons. 1) I had to return my first set because the right earbud stopped working. 2) The replacement pair I ordered is now malfunctioning. The buds repeatedly announce 'Earbuds joined,' and 'Bluetooth connected', when I pause music. Jlab confirmed in both cases the earbuds were defective. Device: iPhone 8. Sound: I was not expecting the sound to be as good as it is for the price, but it is truly amazing for a true wireless earbud. The sound is clear. The bass has a nice thump and the mids and highs are rich. Fit: I can’t get most hook-free earbuds to stay in, but the fit of these is secure. So far, I’ve used them during strength training, on the elliptical and jumping around the house trying to shake them loose. Noise Cancellation: I get some ambient noise, but it’s just enough to maintain awareness without being distracted by talking, weight slamming, etc. Functions: Pairing is a breeze. The buds power on and connect to each other when removed from the charging case and power off when returned to the case. Each bud performs various playback and call answering functions. It will take time to remember which bud performs what function. Battery Life: I think the specs are accurate. I have not had issues. Quality: They are well-made and don’t feel cheap. Charging Case. Pocket friendly. USB charging. cable tucks nicely under case.

Get what you pay for: battery life cited is fraudulent, sorry

Here's the thing about JLab products: they NEVER have the battery life they claim, and often the products cease to function within a year. I guess you get what you pay for since most other high-end wireless buds run 3-5 times what these do. What they do well: 1. Fit. Compared to their wired buds, these fit really well in my ears and I have a hard time achieving fit. Nicely done. 2. Audio. clear and while the noise canceling is iffy sometimes depending on which silicone bud ends you use. The bigger ones cancel more but then the fit is off. I use the mediums and the cancellation isn't as advertised. That said, you get a full frequency range which other JLab products lack. 3. Case. It's nice. But remember to turn off the buds before you put them away or they will NOT recharge at all. Not so well: 1. Cancellation. As mentioned above... get what ya pay for. 2. Battery life: Oh my these are just terrible. I'm waiting to see how long before they no longer work. I get an hour, not as advertised. That's it. Given batt tech these days, this is just insufficient. If they weren't so cheap I'd send 'em back. If they fail completely in the coming months I'll return on principle. JLab: DO BETTER.

Too big

The ear buds and especially case are much bigger than other JLab models.

Great eaebuds- Left earbud stopped working after a few months

Pros: After buying these I was incredibly surprised and impressed by their quality- the design is great and the wireless charging case is pretty cool and easy to get used to. When you take them out of the charger they automatically turn on and connect to your phone seamlessly (after pairing). They turn off when you put them back in the case as long as the case still has a charge left. They fit pretty neatly in my ears, the wings helped a bit but I didn't find them necessary and I could easily run and bike with them in. The sound quality is superb for the price and size of the buds but it is weird how only the right bud is on for phone calls. And the battery life was about what I expected, ~3 hrs by themselves and the charging case easily gave it another 10 or so hours. Con(s): Everything was great until after one workout the left bud just randomly stopped working. I tried jiggling it around in the charger, trying to charge it in the right hand side, pushing the button for 10 seconds to manually turn it on, nothing has worked. I tried reaching out to Jlab and received an automated email saying I would get a response within 24hrs but haven't received anything and it's been a few weeks. Maybe I didn't go through the right system but their customer service isn't very intuitive.

I guess you get what you paid for.

I'll be quick and just list the reasons why im not happy with this purchase. The fit. All ears are different i understand that. And they give you sizes and a rubber lining to got around the outside of the buds. But it doesn't help secure them in your ear. I'm always having to adjust and readjust and jam it in my ear to keep them snug otherwise I hear everything around me. That rubber lining constantly moves and pulls off especially if you have it house in the charger. If you go to pull it out the lining will slip off and you have to struggle getting the earbuds out. Speaking of the charger port. Sometimes it doesn't charger the earbuds. I'll put it in at medium. Leave in over night. Wake up to medium earbuds. And yes the charging hub is full charged itself. I have to make sure I set something heavy on the top to make sure it charges correctly. And last and the biggest. Less than 6 months of having these earbuds the left earbuds has stopped working. After first it would cut in and out and I would have to tap it to work again. But now it just doesn't work. Truly disappointed and upsetting.

Underwhelmed

Fairly disappointed.. I got these for my wife. (I have the airpods 2) So I wasn't expecting a lot out of these as I knew they would not be as good as the airpods 2. The sound is very thin and minimal bass unless you turn it 75% or more it slightly comes thru. It is difficult to find the right way to put in your ear. The earbud is more of a circular piece so you really have to pay attention to exactly which way to get it to stick in your ear. Whereas the airpods you can do it blindfolded. Getting them paired to your phone (along with getting them to STAY paired is a nightmare. Its unclear which one you need to pair first or if they both have to be out of the case to pair (say if you just want to use one at a time). I'm fairly tech savvy too so if I have a hard time there is no chance the ease of use will be good for my wife. $50.00 isn't too terrible for budget wireless earbuds but good lord I can't really say I like anything about them, except for their style/looks is nice. Don't even know if it's worth returning.
