didn’t like the extreme lack of battery life. Everything else was just mediocre

UPDATE (11/12/19): Had these for about 9 months and the right earbud won't hold a charge anymore. Garbage. UPDATE (4/24/19): I've had 3 people complain about voice quality while trying to speak with them on a phone call using these earbuds. Good for podcasts and music but probably not for phone calls. --- There are only two issues I see with these earbuds as mentioned in the title of this review. The max volume being a little low is personal preference technically. My girlfriend says 80% max volume is almost too loud for her but for me, 100% max volume needs about 20% more volume for my "rocking out" mode. I like to be aware of my surroundings when I'm in public so listening to 1 earbud is super important. The right earbud works just fine by itself but not being able to pair the left earbud is a major flaw. In a scenario where I'm on a long flight, I was hoping to get 4 hours out of the right earbud, put it back in the charger and then get another 4 hours out of the left earbud while the right one is charging so I'm never without my podcasts. After reading the Q&A and trying multiple times to only pair the left earbud, I realize this is not an option now. Outside of these two flaws, the earbuds are very comfortable, lightweight and the sound quality is great. Bass boost is VERY good compared to other wireless earbuds I've tried. So long story short I lost my apple airpods which I loved so, but I decided to shop around for new headphones and this particular pair fancied me. The best part about these are the battery life is amazing. The battery life after using them for 4 sessions is still "fully charged." The down fall is that I can not listen to one song through without having to adjust them or push them back into my ears. When I am having my lunch break at work I can not enjoy a song without having to adjust them. You can only get the bass when physically pushing them deeper in your ear which is very upsetting. Music lovers out there that want to hear every instrument and sound that is coming from a song. Don't get these. Even at the gym for an hour, I just had to make due and turn the music up as loud as possible to get any sort of feeling from it. Looks like I'm going to have buy something else. Only one week in and now I'm trying to give them away. Optimistic person here but you can not stand in the way of me and my music! Thanks reading, I hope this saves you money and time.

Stopped working after a few months. Not buying this brand again. Second pair that I've had an issue with.

After just 3 days the left earbud just stopped working, and now neither one will connect, sound quality was good and the battery life was okay but otherwise it’s dog water

I LOVED THESE... BUT I'm now on my second pair and they charging case keeps malfunctioning, it happened with both pairs. Let me start with the good, I love them, they charge quick (when working), fit well, are comfortable and I absolutely loved that they have their own cord to charge attached to the case so no extra part is needed. My first pair lasted about 8 mo before they would no longer recharge. Admittedly, I used them a lot, but 8 mo? I left a review on the store site where I bought those and they promtpy sent me a link to send for warranty. I was impressed with that & started the process. They said they wouldn't replace them but send me a voucher to take to the store for another pair (?) (I'd rather they just send you a new pair frankly) regardless, I purchased a new pair while waiting figuring it wouldn't hurt to have a back up pair. Well, it's only been a couple of months this time and the same thing happened to my new pair. I am also still waiting on my voucher for the old pair. Too much work for a sub par product. I was willing to do some when I had hoped pair #1 was a fluke and I really liked them but 2 pair dying of the same issue in less than 2 years is a major design flaw. Time to look elsewhere.

It doesn't have a USB micro, 1,2, S type of connection or any that we have all become to expect as a charging option for our devices.... It has a cheap SHORT USB cable about an inch long. The problem is simple. When you need to plug it in to charge, it won't lay flat because you bend the tiny cord out. And in not laying flat the earbuds don't stay in contact with the charging prongs. I had a bit of trouble getting it to charge the right earbud. They also have a "cush fit". It's a little rubber band like cushion that wraps around it before it goes into your ear. If they aren't on exact they won't let the earbuds charge either. So I ended up charging the case and then charging the earbuds (something you can do at the same time on other like devices). That looks to have taken 1/3 of the charge. And seeing how battery life lasts on simular devices I have low expectations.

I wanted to like these, I really did. I entered the world of wireless earbuds with Soundpeats (also available on amazon) and decided to upgrade after I cracked one of them and started experiencing connectivity issues. I listen exclusively to hip-hop, R&B, rap, and (very occasionally) R&B-heavy alternative/electronic (think Spotify's "Focus Flow" playlist). After reading these reviews I thought the JLabs would give me the strong bass, clear mids, and crisp vocals that I was looking for - but I was wrong. Here's the quick breakdown: Pros: - Case is a nice size and weight, they fit easily in my girl-pants pockets (ladies will know what's good) - Long battery life (BUT most wireless buds these days compete or exceed 14 hours, so this hits as neutral for me) - Really nice build quality for $50 headphones, both the buds and the case - Comfortable and customizable fit with the fins, different sized earpieces - Seamless connection between the buds, iPhone Xs, and (2016) MacBook Pro - Impressive sound cancelling, esp. with the cush fins. Cons (and they're big ones): - Weirdly low volume. My (broken!) SoundPeats and wired Apple earbuds were both louder at medium volume. - Very little discernible difference between the three "EQ Settings," and poor performance across each of them. My music sounds flat no matter what I try, even after adjusting the EQ settings on the buds themselves and switching it up on my individual streaming apps (Spotify and Apple music) - Generally dissapointing audio quality. Somehow all of my favorite songs (even BANGERS) sound subdued through these buds. The bass is commanding, but at the cost of muddled mids and vocals. There were some songs where I actually found it difficult to pick up on lyrics, which is a huge no-go for me. Conclusion - I'm disappointed in these earbuds. My $25 SoundPeats challenge the JLabs in terms of audio quality and ease of use, and one of them is literally cracked in half and held together with electrical tape. I even think you could coax comparable sound quality out of those sh*tty earbuds that come with your iPhone. It's possible that these will be passable for someone who listens to more forgiving genres of music (pop?) or just doesn't expect serious performance from their buds - but they're not for me.

I purchased these about a month or so ago - I thought initially the battery life was way better than other devices (liberty lites) and the cost was very reasonable. However there are a few issues here that stop me from keeping these has a permanent wireless solution. - Sweat Resistance -- Although this is labeled as sweat resistance device, I've constantly had to readjust the buds in my ears while running, performing push-ups, or just plain old sweating. This is especially crucial during the summertime (now) has I can be leisurely walking and the device will literally pop out of my ear. - Volume + Buttons -- I'd love if it was possible to adjust the volume without having to press into my ear, It's painful. I know the new iteration of this device coming later this month will have touch controls (thank god), however what's the most annoying part of the process is that it doesn't "remember" the sound settings after placing back into the case. As a result you're constantly checking the sound is loud enough, AND unfortunately it doesn't notify you if it's on it's maximum volume. So further digging into your ear is necessary. Sigh. - De-synchronization -- I live in NYC, where there are rival WiFi, Bluetooth, and RF signals broadcasting 24/7 - So it's not uncommon to walk down a popular street and have the music disconnect or pause intermittently until I walk into a "safer" zone. However this has occurred on multiple occasions, which lead me to believe that maybe my device was shipped defectively. I've come across a recent issue where music will transmit on one earbud a millisecond slower than the other earbud... Thereby creating this "row-your-boat" effect while listening to music. So I'm constantly putting the buds in the case to de-sync and re-sync. - Right Earbud Dead -- Finally, just randomly while on a call, I realized that the right earbud was no longer transmitting audio. I assumed it was a fluke and simply put in back in the case and tried again. Alas... The buds were able to join, and the left earbud was able to play music but the right was not. I'm not sure if I received a bad pair... but this was pretty much the nail in the coffin. The only plus of this device is the cost, and battery life. Aside from that, these other issues are too frequent to recommend as solid bluetooth solution. Sigh...

Although the sound was decent, I've consistently had issues with the bluetooth connectivity with my iPhone. After about 5 or 10 minutes, one of the sides goes dead. Unfortunately, I waited to long to return this product, so my only recourse is to write this negative review. Too many other good products available to buy this one.
