Defective product - good costumer service

The sound quality is good. You get a lot of sound for $30. no complaints there. It definitely beats likes of raycons in audio quality. The reason to my review is that the right ear piece battery only hold battery for just under an hour. To add to that, the 3-4-hour battery claim is absolutely bogus on the left ear piece, at MOST it holds 2 hours on low volume. Furthermore, this product is useless for anything other than listening to music (there is a HUGE audio delay. Generally 12 ms of audio delay is deemed "off rhythm" in music and is noticeable and annoying, this product has in excess of 100 ms delay) There is a good 20 frames difference from the time you see something and you hear the audio. So not good for movies, not good for YouTube videos, not good for video games, not good for taking phone calls. only music. So I would not recommend this product unless you don't mind the delay and the comically short battery life. I initially reached out to seller for a replacement and they requested me to return an item that I have put into my ear or a partial refund. Great costumer service, very good service over all but does not change the fact that the product I got is defective and they are lying on their product description. I decided to not accept the refund or the replacement with return because it would cost me more money to take time out of my day to return this and I don't need their charitable fraction of a $30 either. This is just a bad product. (again, great costumer service and great work on the staff's side I would most definitely still purchase from this supplier, just I don't think anyone should be buying this product).

IMO, trash

The sound quality is terrible. They are hard to turn on/off and hard to adjust the position without accidentally turning off. I used these 10 times and threw them away. Only one was working at that time. Maybe the other one wouldn’t charge, idk, but it didn’t work. One of the worst products I have ever purchased.

Good until they're not

As a pretty dedicated owner of wired headphones, there are a few situations where wireless is better. So I figured I'd get an 'affordable' pair of wireless earbuds. These sound pretty decent especially for the price. They are solidly built including the case and the battery life is good, lasting around 3 hours per charge. Why the low score then? Because the cost cutting for these trUE WirElESS earbuds becomes more and more apparent over (a short) time. Here's a list of issues I encountered in roughly the order they came over 1.5 years: * Bluetooth signal cuts out frequently, either one or both, if for example you have your phone in your rear jeans pocket and you turn your head slightly the wrong way (after maybe 6 months) * Sometimes one earbud would fail to pair so you have to 'turn it off and on again' (after 6 months) * The earbuds basically always fail to charge unless you either wiggle them just right or smack the case a few times. Yes, the contacts are clean. (after a year). These fools literally managed to recreate the ole 'stereo sound only when the wire is bent at an exact angle' issue! Those 3 things make this thing a huge PitA to use every single time. The $40 or whatever Walmart bargain bin price is better put towards higher quality earbuds from reputable brands. I've learned my lesson not to buy cheap, disposable garbage like this again and will instead be spending more for higher quality that will last me longer and will actually be nice to use.

Good sound, terrible with pairing.

I was surprised with how good these sounded my first try. Quickly these buds lost my favorable impression when I noticed what a nightmare pairing these things were. The right and left earbuds constantly get disconnected and will randomly cut out at times. Something I’ve never had issues with even with cheap Skullcandy brand earbuds. At first I thought maybe it was just me, but come to find out plenty of people have this problem with these. So for that reason, they’re pretty junky. The sound quality is fine, the comfort is good, they don’t seem to slip out of my ears or anything. But yeah, it gets annoying when I’m trying to listen to Spotify and suddenly the Bluetooth connection gets all crackily and disconnects. It’s like you’re suddenly trying to listen to the radio while driving through a tunnel. I’ll probably keep them around for work though, I don’t wanna use my actually good AirPods there and end up damaging or losing them.

Not Great

How do I dislike these earbuds? Let me count the ways. Have been using these earbuds for about six months and in that time have gone from finding them to be ok to actively disliking them. To begin with is the sound; it is just plan poor. They do not seal in my ears and the sound is just flat and tinny. If I press against them in my ear I can hear what they should sound like and even then it is not impressive. They are just really poor at their basic function of producing decent audio. Battery life is below average with similar earbuds. Case holds an average charge and can recharge the earbuds about 2.5 times. Overall maybe 2.5 stars on the batteries. Fit is personal but as noted above they are bulky and do not sit well in my ear and fall out all the time. Another 1 star here. I use them often for phone calls and this is another area of poor design. First even on the loudest volume setting I have trouble hearing callers and if there is the slightest background noise like a busy street then forget it. Again just another manifestation of their poor audio reproduction. Next is one my largest dislikes about these earbuds. They are wrapped with a relatively lose fitting rubber gasket, almost like a flat rubber band. Believe this is there to help hold them in the ear which as noted above does not work very well as they still fall out relatively easily. The more annoying aspect to this rubber band is that it easily shifts and covers the microphone ports on the earbuds. I have been in mid call on numerous occasions when the other party notes they cannot hear me. Sure enough in those cases the rubber band has slipped and shifted, is covering the microphone yet again. The rubber band just won’t stay in place and you have to constantly must maneuver and adjust it, and often times it will just fall off the earbud. This whole arrangement of a lose rubber band that can easily slide and cover the microphone is just a 0-star design goof. Then there is the earbud pairing. The right earbud can be used without the left earbud, but the left earbud cannot be used without the right ear bud. So if you only need one and are running out of the house you better take both because if you mistakenly take the left earbud it won’t work without the right earbud. So much for using only one earbud. In addition the earbuds have to be very close together to pair. If you take out the right ear bud and set it on the table the left earbud will lose the connection. Set the two earbuds any distance over a 12 inches away from the each other and they will lose connectivity. In the end these are earbuds with poor audio quality and a number of nuisances. They really are not well designed and you eventually go from being annoyed to general overall dislike for this product. Would suggest looking elsewhere for products with better sound and a better design.

Looks great, sounds "Meh".

JBuds Air True Wireless Earbuds I wanted to love these earbuds. I did. They are stylish, they fit well, they isolate well, and they connect immediately. All things I would want in a set of true wireless earbuds. The case is intuitive, and the earbuds are always fully charged when you pop them out. Unfortunately, all of the above are only half of the equation. When it comes to how they sound, they’re just lacking. I ordered one pair and it came packaged well, and removal from packaging was definitely frustration free. Props to JLabs for designing intuitive packaging. A lot of companies miss hard in that regard. The first pair of earbuds I had had a lot of static/buzzing at the top end, specifically in the left ear bud. For reference, I am pairing these to a Galaxy S8 and playing music through three different players, Google Play, PowerAmp (my go-to), and Amazon Music. I ended up sending that pair back as defective and asked them to replace with the same product. My second pair came packaged just as well, in good order, and very quickly. Props to Amazon for awesome customer service as well as JLabs for having a quality guarantee (30 days Satisfaction and 2 year limited). Unfortunately, the sound issues that were prevalent in the first pair carried over to the second pair. I tested these with three different songs, all in .flac format through PowerAmp: John Mayer – Gravity, Garbage – Vow, and Jimi Hendrix – Voodoo Child. I compared the JLabs against two other pair of headphones that I had at work. Some BOSE SoundTrue/IE2 wired earbuds and a pair of over ear V-Moda Crossfade LP2’s. I am not particularly discerning nor overly picky, which should be evident given the comparison headphones mentioned. Now, given the respective costs of the headphones I compared the JLabs to makes the comparison slightly unfair, and I acknowledge that up front. That said, no audiophile is like “Go get BOSE, they’re the best!” In comparison, the Crossfades were by far the best, but I expect that given the comfort, isolation, low impedance (easy to drive) and size of the drivers. So it really came down to a comparison between the IE2’s and the JLabs. While still not a 1 to 1 comparison given one is analog and the other is digital (including compression that occurs via Bluetooth), it is definitely more fair than comparing against a set of headphones that cost 4 times as much. The JLabs, regardless of which EQ setting you use, just couldn’t compete with the IE2’s. The IE2’s had cleaner stereo separation, had a wider sound stage, and much cleaner bass response. The song Vow, by Garbage, is an excellent test for stereo separation as it cycles a synth between the left and right channels. When you have a pair of headphones that process the effect correctly, it will sound as though the synth is spinning between the two channels given the way it swells in volume and then dissipates. The IE2’s handled this effect very well. The JLabs made a decent effort, but the sound starts to muddle together slightly where you can’t differentiate what you’re hearing. The JLabs sound best when you have sounds that focus mostly in the midrange. In the midrange, they sound solid. In the bass department, they’re pretty decent with solid response when you get a good seal with the tips. The upper end, however, is just short of terrible. It is very possible that I just got two bad pair from the factory. Certainly manufacturing errors can occur. However, with two pair doing virtually the same thing, I’m more inclined to believe that it comes down to design deficiency. All three songs were clearer, more defined, and sharper on the IE2’s. I give the product 2 stars because I think it gets a lot of things right. It’s a product that looks nice, interfaces nicely with your phone, and does most of what it sets out to do. When it comes to the actual audio, though, they just can’t keep up with some the bigger boys. I can’t say I’d recommend this product, unfortunately. Edit/Update - I ended up gifting these to my son. They have been fine for him, but recently only the left bud has been outputting audio. After scoring the internet and following the instructions for reconnecting, I was unable to resolve the issue. I contacted Jlabs, and I will say that their customer support was fantastic. I'm not going to upgrade my rating, but I did want to note how friendly and efficient they were with getting me information on how to request a warranty replacement. Customer pays shipping their (rep said it should cost about 3-4 dollars) but Jlabs foots the bill on the replacement. Very good customer service! By the way, if your right ear bud stops working, it's defective. It is the "brains" of the operation.

Not bad for about 6 months, then they fall off a cliff

After 8 months of use (about 3-5 workouts per week with occasional commuting use) these were overall ok however there are definitely plenty of quality issues. As mentioned by many people, the left earbud has pairing and charging issues consistently now. I have to put these in the most perfect position, wiggle them around, in hopes that the earbuds don't just randomly die on me. It's still not a huge hassle yet because I don't really care about the inability to use them at the gym because they are just basically glorified earplugs now, but it's sad when i'm trying to enjoy music or a movie on my phone during a long commute or travel. I wish these were guaranteed / had a longer warranty period by default because these products never seem to last more than a couple months which sounds (heh) dumb. I do enjoy jlab products but this one made me particularly sad that it only lasted 6 months before I had to deal with a ton of crap to get them to work properly. **EDIT** 02/11/2020 These have a warranty that is super tedious and you're paying for shipping to even get a replacement. The team also has to "deem" your product defective to get any return or refund; aka there is no guarantee that you will get something in return. Then it will take another 7-10 days to process the return, and you'll have to buy the item from the jlab store online and incur yet another shipping charge. I am most likely just going to spend that money towards a brand new pair from a different brand.
