It seems well made although I've only worn it 4 times or so. I find it my go to hat for protection from sun and rain. I've worn it to the pool and in the water to keep sun off of me and out of my eyes. I wear it to walk the dogs, to garden, and even wore it Kayaking recently since it was overcast and there was light rain. The only reason I gave it one star is because, even cinching it as much as I can in the back, the smallest setting just barely fits on my very tiny head, but it doesn't fall into my eyes, so it works and is worth it overall. An additional plus is having the cinch strap around the chin so the wind doesn't blow it off my head!! I'm glad I bought it.

I ordered the pink hat. I would call it more of a dusty rose color. It came in a bag but did not have a tag which I had gotten another one from a different vendor and it had tags so it makes me wonder if it had been returned??? The hat just barely fits my head and I would say my head is average size. Definitely measure your head before ordering. The only adjustment is in the bag to make the ponytail hole smaller or larger. It does not affect the overall size of the hat itself. It is lightweight and comfortable to wear and the brim is just rigid enough to hold its shape. The brim is wide enough to give good coverage and the ponytail hole is at a good location to wear I like to put mine. It’s not a fashion statement but does the job.

I read thru all the reviews before ordering this hat. I am a size 16 woman with a big head. It’s not huge, but it’s larger than average. People were saying this hat fit a large head, but sadly I did not find this to be the case. There is an extension on it but I could barely pull it down over my almost bald head I ordered the khaki green colored one. I’ll have to give this to my sister who has an average size head. I’m super sad because I needed a great hat and this one is beautiful. Ladies, if you are plus size with a slightly larger head I’d think twice about this one.

07-11-2019 - While the hat does not fit my needs, the quality of the hat is amazing, and a comfortable fit. My head is 22 inches (or 56 cm) and it had a snug, but not tight hold. I did not believe the wind would blow it off. Very comfortable. My ponytail fit through and was comfortable, with or without a hair-tie. I tend to have my ponytail (and messy bun) closer to the crown of my head rather than lower to my neck. If you keep your ponytail about 2 to 2.5 inches from your bottom hairline, this will be perfect for you. The brim on the hat is about 3.25” all the way around. Even with all those positive comments, I decided to return the hat. I will be going on a cruise in the Caribbean next year and am searching for a ponytail hat with a wider brim to protect me from sunburn, and where I can leave my ponytail in my regular position. I am a red head with skin that burns easily, blisters, then turns white again. Unfortunately, the brim is not wide enough, leaving a good portion of the back of my neck exposed.

I've worn this hat when I'm out and about ever since I bought it. It really is perfect for ponytails. The biggest negative is that it runs small. Now trust me when I say that I have a big head. My melon is huge. So if it's tight for me, it's probably fine for everyone else. I don't use the back clip at all, I leave it loose under my ponytail and that gives me extra room that I need. I prefer this hat to another one I bought on Amazon, because while this brim is large, I can still keep it on while I drive and see well. I live in the desert, so i should have been wearing hats all along. Wearing this hat means that I'm really protecting myself from skin cancer (I also of course wear sunscreen). Highly recommend this hat.
