Only dislike I have is that there is no headphone jack

With the phone in this case the left channel comes out on the right and visa versa.... Just have to settle with mono.... Left controller is extremely creaky after a couple days of moderate use, creaks just holding it.... Right trigger moves around unlike the left one.... Shaking the device I can hear loose plastic .... My actual razer phone has had problems since day 1. Speakers sound muffled like they're underwater and I know there's alot of people with the same problem. The actual software is no good too, I've never been able to use my zoom lens without the camera app crashing.... From today on I'm avoiding razer products idk what happened to them... Used to be reliable As much as they try to make their products look high quality, the price is unjustifiable. As alot of people know, you are paying for the name. Was really hoping this would be good :(

First of all, make sure this fits your phone. There are only three different Android phone models that will work for the Razer Junglecat Dual-Sided Mobile Game Controller. I would say the biggest pro to this is the super long-lasting battery life. What's even better is that it uses the same C charger that you are already using for your Android device. The controls are easy to use because you have the d-pad, two thumbsticks, select and start buttons, A B X Y, and left and right bumper and trigger buttons. Each thumbstick clicks in as well making for L3 and R3 buttons so you aren't missing anything you'd find on a standard console controller. Overall, i think it's a good device especially if you're into mobile gaming.

The Razer Junglecat is a set of bluetooth remote controls that attach/detach from special phone cases to make your phone more like a mobile gaming device along the lines of a Nintendo switch. The device includes 3 phone cases (Razer Phone 2, Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S10+) which allows users with one of those phones to enjoy using all it completely. If you have a compatible android phone but, not one of these models you can still use the controllers but you will need to use them on the included controller block. I personally have a Samsung Galaxy S7. Clearly much smaller than their included phone cases but completely compatible version of Android so I can still use the controllers. I place them on the block though and have to stand the phone up in front of me (or lay it on my lap). It's still an enjoyable playing experience but I would really like the option to use them on the sides of my phone. It is possible 3rd party vendors may make cases available for older/other phones but currently there aren't any. When used with a compatible phone it does provide a similar experience to using a Nintendo switch but, it's slightly smaller (perhaps more similar in size to the switch lite?). However, the case and controllers doe have a little bit of wiggle/wobble to them. That movement isn't present on the switch/switch lite. Of course the biggest difference between the two would be the content that can be played. Games available on one's phone will not include the same games available to switch users for the most part (no Zelda games, no Mario games... though there are some emulators for much older Mario games). You can play some games that are similar to console counterparts like 'Rayman Adventures' which plays a lot like Rayman Legends for example. You will need to look or controller compatible games though since the controllers are not able to be used with every game. The battery life on these is pretty great. They came charged right out of the box and using them over the course of a month I've not needed to recharge them yet. When it comes to charging them you will need to have a USB-C charging cable though. It is extremely odd, in my opinion, that Razer decided not to include a charging cable with these controllers. You will need to purchase one/have one to charge them. Though they work really well and really are very nice controllers I do think they are over priced. These run around $100 and there are many other similar controllers in the $20-$30 range. There's really no major feature differences between these and the cheaper controllers and many of the cheaper ones have cases for older phones and/or cables for charging/replaceable batteries. The price of these controllers in comparison to other similar controllers then seems exceptionally high. While I don't doubt for a second that Razer's controllers are a better quality than many other controllers on the market I can't imagine they are worth $70-$80 more to most people. If you really want the best of the best and have the money these are probably it and will perform well. If you would prefer cheaper alternatives there's many to chose from and they will all probably function reasonably well for a lower price. These lose a star for lack of included charging cables and no options for cases for other phones. Otherwise this would get 5 stars from me.

Phone case itself can't take a fall, cracked I went back to my old phone case. The app and controller was what I was looking for, meaning playing a game like MegaMan which isn't actually supported but mappable. Really I have not hunkered down to actually review it but just suggesting Razer makes and or sells a replacement case, If I could buy just the case I'd craft corner protection pads or something. Maybe then I'll rewrite the review and tell you how great all the Android games are with this controller.

I didn't expect it to be clicky, it was a special surprise I guess. It actually makes sense their keyboards are known for their clicky sound. I like that its light weight, at first I thought it felt cheap on another hand when you are playing on your phone it doesn't tire me out. The bluetooth connects just fine and I like how it came in fully charged. It doesn't come with a charger, but any good phone USB C charger and I already have a razer charger so it was no problem. The cool thing is if you are tired of looking on your phone screen you can screen cast on your TV and play while your phone is charging. The battery life on it is amazing and I haven't needed to recharge it yet. I wish that it didn't need to charge separately, other than that would recommend.

Overall, I will start off and say this is a solid controller, especially if you already have any of the devices this is compatible with (Razer Phone 2, Galaxy S10+, or Galaxy Note 9 for me; I think its different in some places though). The build on the controllers is pretty strong, and the form factor of them joined together mode is wonderfully compact - sitting roughly around 3.2in x 4in (80mm x 105mm). Incredibly easy to toss in my interior coat pocket. That does come with the slight draw back if you have larger hands however. The controller layout feels natural and the slight indent in the separated D-pad makes rolling over the buttons seamless and for of a natural movement. Really snappy and responsive for tons of games on the go. There are a few gripes that won't apply to everyone - having to swap out case if you already have a case (like me) when you want to use the controllers side-mounted, the asking price being a bit high (I got mine off of the Razer website for $80 for a promotion, but even if you are looking to shave a few bucks off they newsletter gets you $10 off), and (while I personally don't mind) I've seen some people claim the buttons are quite clicky. The ONLY issues and serious gripes I feel the need to let others know I have had with the device are due to various connection issues. Initially I was having numerous issues with connectivity when moving my hands somewhat frequently. Sitting across the room from my TV with the phone plugged into via USB-C to HDMI - a distance that cant be farther than 6ft (~180cm) - the controller would occasionally need to re-sync. After downloading the Gamepad app and updating the firmware on the controllers however, most of these issues were fixed. However one issue in particular continued to occasionally pop up - regardless of the controller firmware update - was an issue that appeared like stick drift at first. Occasionally, when playing something like a PSP game, it would get stuck going in a single direction. After checking through the apps PPSSPP and the Razer Gamepad to make sure the stick sensivities were fine, I would occasionally have similar issues in other apps like Dolphin even though by most metrics provided by the apps I was using the analog sticks were functioning fine. Most of those issues were fixed with backing out and reentering an app, or in the case of most the emulators I was using, just rolling my finger over the onscreen D-pad or analog stick until it properly registered the signal from the Junglecat. While most of the time the controllers are pretty solid and can certainly last for long term use, the occasional need to reset them through the aforementioned method was the only annoyance. The build, comfort of the side-mounted design, form factor of the controller slotted together, and the wonderful battery life makes these my fiancee's preferred controller (and my preferred on the go, Xbox One at home if on HDMI), even with some of the connectivity issues we occasionally have. I would still recommend up this controller, especially if you are someone who would play games more if you didn't have to engage with touchscreen controls, but doesn't want to carry an Xbox One controller everywhere.
