4 stars for now, but we'll see how it does on our luggage in an upcoming trip. But the instructions need beefing up. You download the app and it tells you how to connect - if you're the FIRST phone. If you want to tie a second phone or tablet to the same Tile tracker, the process is different. You don't press the button on the Tile to hear the little song. It took a while to figure this out, with no help from the app's instructions. The Tile website is where you need to be: tileteam.zendesk.com

After 6 months, I thought it was broken because it wouldn't make a sound (which I learned while desperately searching for my keys to go to work, the exact situation I was trying to avoid) turns out the battery just died after 6 months (a bit short of the "up to a year" claims I had read. Not really a huge issue, now that I know I have a reminder to change the battery every 5 months, but definitely believe that a low battery is something the app should alert you of!

We got this to track our luggage during vacation. It was comforting to be able to pull up the app see where our luggage was. Luckily we didn't have to use it to track it down.

This product is honestly great. It's coming up on a year and it's giving me a battery replacement warning. Easy to use, accurate and you can walk towards it or away from it and the signal will work accurately. On bad thung I can say is, is that something it doesn't connect or when I ring it, it doesn't ring unless I restart app or mess with it a few times. Then it'll ring. Enjoy if you purchase!!

Basic features work fine, bluetooth tracking in the area is good. GPS position display on the app is not precise but is adequate enough to get you in the right area to probably pick it up on bluetooth and hear it chirping. Basic service only gives you the last known GPS location in the app. The app does try to upsell you a lot on the premium services. I wish there was more location history info included in the basic service. If you are tracking it far away you are depending on the network of other people with tiles to help you update its GPS position. My observation is the network of people seems to be dense enough in a typical suburban area for occasional position updates. The pro model has replaceable battery. Battery life is about 1 year. After 1 full year they are still tracking but the app says the juice is low and is prompting me to replace the batteries. Battery is CR2032 which is common and easy to replace. The tiles are reasonably durable, I didn't have any durability issue with normal handling. The white tile was very white initially but gets a little dirty looking over time, as would be expected. Overall I'm happy with them as an Android user.

1 year in review. Overall it's a good device, in my experience 2 of 3 have lasted 9-10 months... I probably only have a few weeks left on my current working tile. I am going to try another brand. But for $30 a year it's a pretty good device locator. I would just rather something more durable. Full thoughts in the update below.Update: I'm downgrading my 5 star to 4 stars. Here's why, I first purchased the pro (2020) tile in May 2021 after major connectivity issues with another brand, the tile lasted just less than 1 year of use. Then I purchased this pro (2022) in April 2022, hoping for better connectivity and functionality as the original 2020 version didn't hold up as well durability wise. My first pro 2022 tile no longer works as expected. I have changed the battery, but when I try to locate it, the ringer lasts 1 second and doesn't even finish the musical tune, still good durability. Signle strength works pretty well in my house. It could be a little louder but if you're close you can hear it. I do like the musical tune when it works, as I liked this tile (2022) so much I purchased a 2nd a month later in May 2022 and that tile still works as intended. I will debate replacing the partially functioning tile. I may try another brand, even at the current $27.99 price point. I'm leaning towards the air tags for my next purchase. Even though only 1 of our 2 phones in the house is an iphone... Tile can be used by both android and apple, plus it has a brilliant design with the metal hole for hanging from many different devices. I am just hopeful another device will last longer.Really useful tracker. Everything with Bluetooth has connectivity issues occasionally. I bought a 2nd for our other car keys. I used the tracker to locate my phone last because my apple watch (series 6) couldn't locate my iphone 13 in the same room. The tracker does occasionally have connectivity issues as well, but it usually works.

The device is a great but. Only problem is now you have to pay for the subscription.

Went on a trip for few days, when I came back to home airport we had 3 bags 1 went missing. So I pull up the app tile it says it was stuck in the state where I was on vacation this may not work on international flights. I travel tile in state only and when luggage was lost it was loop in the vaction state. It keep saying it never left from Point A to point B never made it to baggage claim. So the Airline company help me located and finally ship it to me about 1-2Am in the morning directly to my address after found the lost bag! Tile refresh it self from vaction state and made it to Home location Airport! That's when delivery drive ship it overnight. Reunited with the lost luggage. Tile keeps history even thousand miles away! Only if they battery still works! Again not sure if it works over seas over 5 thousands miles that be in the future trip.

This product works as advertised. It really needs a louder tone to assist in finding your lost item. I put my keys in my nightstand drawer and couldn't hear the tone alert until I opened the drawer. Ehhh, maybe it's just my hearing, but it isn't very loud.

Used on recent trip put one Tile in my suitcase and one In sisters suitcase. Worked great until 3 days later on trip home. 1 tile (sisters suitcase) lost contact on way home and would not connect, we were in same car on way home and hers lost contact midway home and did not reconnect location. Defective? Maybe, worked great until then. Returned will reevaluate alternatives until next trip in Nov.
