The app seems to work very well in locating the device(s). So, you generally won't have an issue finding the tag. However, the double click to locate your phone has only worked once out of probably about 10-15 attempts and that is even with the phone being right next to the tag. I was hoping that feature would work too because I'm always misplacing either my phone or my keys. LOL Anyway, just know that in advance that it works best in one direction only.

Battery life is short

Small, light and flat. The addition to my key ring has gone unnoticed. I have already used them twice to locate my keys. Time will tell if they hold up. The location tone is clear and pretty loud. I haven't pushed the envelope on distance yet, but seems very effective short range inside 30 feet.

Bought this for my Dad since he's old and forgets where he puts his keys/wallet. Easy to set up with the Tile app in a minute. The wallet tile battery is not replaceable but the keys tile battery is replaceable so hopefully it lasts for many years.

I use the Tile trackers to track luggage on a recent trip. The devices worked as advertised. The Tile "network" located the luggage when it was out of Bluetooth range in most cases. I didn't like the face that for enhanced coverage; I had to subscribe to the Tile Premium service for 30 USD per year.

I love these because I frequently can't seem to put my hands on my keys! I haven't lost them I just can't find them lol. They play with a good loudness and are decent at being detected by the app. I don't love leaving Bluetooth on all the time on my phone, but it's so convenient to find my keys (or phone) when I need it, so I do leave it on.I've used one on my cat's collar before, there was a time when he was hard to find sometimes, either in the house or out in my yard.I've never been able to change the battery in one of these (not this newer model yet tho) and have it still work, so they've been disposable so far. I have changed batteries, I have a pack of the coin batteries these use, but prior models would never work once the battery was changed. But I don't really use it that often, seems the battery lasts ~1 year. Hopefully these won't have the same problem, we'll see. If any other promising device comes out I'll try it.

Haven't really tested ability to find things yet; no instructions came with them, and the website seems mainly to encourage you to spend more on subscriptions of some kind. I'm hoping to find a "forum" where users share ideas for using them. If not, I guess I'll learn from experience.

I got the subscription which allows the app to notify you if you're leaving one of the Tiles behind. Problem is that to function you must have Bluetooth turned on. (Please correct me if I'm wrong) I don't leave BT on unless I'm actively using it because of the drain on the battery. If I'm forgetting my wallet why would I remember to turn on Bluetooth?

My purpose was to put this tracker on my cat's collar for when he goes outside in the day to be able to find him easily. We live in a small complex that is somewhat like a mini canyon and the space he wanders is usually a radius of @ 300 ft. 85% of the time it will tell me the direction he is, but it often glitches and will say he is out of range when he isn't. It is a great device for bags and keys, but not for animals as it is unreliable and inaccurate. I hope they improve upon this device so it can perform better.

Setup was easy once I got past one unclear step in the app. It said to press the Tile button and shows a Tile device on the screen. I kept touching the button on the image but got nothing. A bit later I realized they meant to press the button on the device itself, not the image on the phone.With this Tile I have a good chance to find my keys even if they're truly lost. But it will also help those times when the keys are here but I just don't know where. And the fob has a button that lets you find your phone the same way.
