If you have a fire be careful which one you order!

I bought the most expensive one for my 6 year old. One of the downloads that were to be included wasn't even available to me and one didn't work with the tablet. I also had to buy an adapter even though it states you only need one for Gen 8 Fire Tablet. Not true...I bought the most recent Fire especially for this and I still needed the adapter. I like the game, but unless you have an ipad, expect to have these issues.

Great but comes with an outdated lens

Item is great but I had to order another lens since the one it comes with is no longer compatible and needs a newer model.

Pretty cool!

Overall, this bundle is really cool. My 1st grader loves using it! It's great for reinforcing what he's learning in school. I will say that the setup on his fire tablet was a bit annoying, but not impossibly frustrating. We had issues with the reflector seeing the game tiles at first, but then I realized it was sitting too low on the camera, and we're supposed to have purchased the reflector adapter. I had no idea 🤷‍♀️. While that's on order, I shoved a pencil between the tablet and reflector which works just fine for now. I'd definitely recommend this kit!

Good so far, with some inconveniences

My son got this for his new Fire tablet for Christmas… it’s fairly easy to use, but the kids area of the tablet doesn’t allow you to install some parts of the Osmo app… and i haven’t found a work around without avoiding the kids version. It also wants you to use a reflector adapter for the fire… which is fine but not clear that it’s needed… and doesn’t really make sense since it says it’s for fire tablets right on the box.All in all… it’s good. My son seems to like it… just some of those little annoyances

Kids love it!

Kids want to play it very often. The learning experience with the interaction is easy to follow.

Great System...Just Needs Directions and a Better Game Piece Storage

My order arrived quickly and well packaged. The main issue I have is that there were no directions, aside from a card telling me what was in the package and a website link. For the price of this system, I would expect detailed step-by-step directions for set up and directions for each game included in the package. We have been using the system for two days and are figuring the games out as we go. We love the Numbers and Tangram games the best. I'm sure the Word, Newton, and Masterpiece games will be fun too once we figuring them out. You will need to download the free apps from the app store to play each of the five games. Also, the plastic boxes the game pieces come in are a great organizational tool; however, the containers are not well thought out. The lids are very difficult to remove, especially for children. There is an optional zippered case that can be purchased separately to store the pieces in, which would have been a much better option to include with the system. Hopefully the creators read reviews and rethink the two issues listed. This product has the potential of being a wonderful addition for hands-on fun and learning. We will figure the games out on our own (probably Youtube)...just feel this was an important item to omit.

Great... just needs an adapter

First, the kit is amazing! I love how engaged my 6 year old son is with the "games" and how easy it is for him to navigate. I can download more games and order more tiles, so the device can grow with him. I love it... with one exception. To properly use the reflector (which is how the game reads the tiles your child is playing with) on the 2020 FireTab8, you need an adapter. I bought my son a fire tab, the osmo, and headphones, then got the whole thing set up and realized the kit doesnt come with the adapter band. It's $7-$9 on it's own, which wouldnt be an issue if I'd known in advance and if it were easy to get. Sadly, it won't be in stock til mid January. We're making it work but with frequent readjustment to the reflector. All in all, it's a wonderful gift. It's not made with cheap plastic, and it has little grippers on the legs so it wont slide around. My son has been using the words game for an hour and doesn't look bored. Don't let the adapter put you off, just be prepared and order it when you order the Osmo. ❤

Mixed emotions but mostly good!

I had seen this item before but it was always a little too pricey. We got this on a pretty good sale and I didn't do much if any, research beforehand. One thing I wish I had known ahead of time was that you have to use the iPad without a case or with one of the few cases made specifically for Osmo. It would have been nice if the stand adjusted to fit other cases but it doesn't. If you want the Osmo compatible cases you're looking at another $50. I just found a super cheap case that was easy to put on and take off, not a dealbreaker but this definitely was not ideal. Add on games are a little expensive so I think we will just be sticking to the 5 included with the starter kit, not a huge deal.
