Ordered this for my 5 year old granddaughter and she has enjoyed it immensely. After about 2 weeks the stand failed to collapse for storage but a quick phone call to customer service and a new stand arrived shortly and she's been playing with it and storing it frequently. :)

We purchased this for my 7 year old as a Christmas present- I would say that the age rating is off. Most of the activities are definitely at the lower end of her learning (at least with the included games) but she is having a lot of fun doing them. Its interactive and intuitive and she is able to navigate and do everything on her own. She enjoys unlocking new levels and its probably one of the best gifts we got her. Takes a while to set up as you have to download each "app" after downloading the Osmo App and setting up an account but once it's done, kids can access everything through the main app.

My daughter is 7 and enjoys using the learning games. It does take some time to get used to using. I thought the image was projected onto the board/writing surface, but it is not. You have to look at the screen and put together the puzzles or draw by looking at the screen and trying to follow the lines. It was a little confusing and may make it hard for younger children at first. My 12 year old enjoys it as well. We have another Osmo kit for drawing and she is always using that.

Be sure to get the reflector adapter. The kit does not come with it and you need it for the software to read the tiles correctly. Would have been helpful to know.

A great learning tool.

My son loves the games and they help him learn but I had to buy the extra piece so it would work with the Kindle fire. It seemed like it should come with it for the price I paid for it.

My son really enjoys this. My only knock on it is we had to purchase the reflector separate. The toy can’t be used without the required reflector, and it was not clear when we purchased it that the reflector wasn’t too included.

I really like this product. This is my second one I have purchased for my 5 year old son.He enjoys is greatly and I prefer him using and learning on this than watching YT videos. My only complaint is I have to take off his iPad case every time I use the base which is a pain and also wished there were more games.

We have been osmo fans for a couple years now on the iPad. But the kindle fire is more economical for the kids to use so I am so glad they came out with a fire edition. We utilize the osmo games for homeschool with our 5 & 7 year olds. The base is awesome with the extendable legs. When testing the letters, numbers and tangrams out while I set up a new kindle fire 7 all the games worked well. So far the games recognized the pieces well. We have issues sometimes when using them with the iPad version. I really feel so far it works better than with the iPad.I look forward to the additional osmo games to come out for the fire so we can switch all our osmo game play to utilizing just the kindle fire. The letters, numbers, and tangram pieces come in small stackable plastic boxes. Sometimes the lids stick a little when trying to get them off. With this genius kit you can play the numbers, letters and tangram games but you can also use paper or dry erase board to play the monster, Newton and masterpiece games.
