Pluto's Review
I was pretty skeptical at first but after a few days with one for my 4 YO, I ended up buying another osmo kit for my 8YO as well. The programming of the apps that go with the games is incredible!!! We loved the starter kit so much that we ended up buying a few other games as well. Given distance learning coming up in a few weeks when schools start- I predict, these games will be a daily occurrence in our household. Even the adults like to try their hand at the tangram, numbers and coding games. Well done OSMO!! You have a fan here. You made my life easier. You have my respect for that!

I bought this for my 7 year old who is struggling with words and reading. She enjoys it and I find she is getting better each time she uses it. She doesn't get it out as much as I thought she would but I think it is because you have to take the case off of the ipad in order to use the OSMO. I did catch my 10 year old enjoying this one Saturday afternoon. He was having a blast racing the "computer" to spell words. I said it is easy to use and it is, once you take the ipad out of the case. Lots of little pieces though so if you don't like things all over the place, don't get this learning tool.

This is incredible for my 5 year old! She uses it often and being out of school this year it has been a Godsend. Keeps her busy for quite a while and is great in teaching her numbers and letters. I’m not sure why Amazon is asking me to refer to the thickness or warmth of this item. I guess it could be warm if you set it in the sun...or hold it for a while. It’s thick plastic...the game pieces are more of a cardboard but thick cardboard. Definitely a gif table item if said gift receiver has an appropriate tablet.

Honestly, at this point, my son and I are battling over who gets to use the Osmo. I’m more hooked on the numbers and he’s hooked on the tangram pieces. I just love when things are fun and educational. That’s how I grew up. I fell in live with learning through all the games I had. I wanted my children to experience that too, but it’s so difficult to find great material that’s up to date. This Osmo come SUPER close. I’d let him play this all day no problem. He’s learning and he thinks it’s all a game. Fooled him. Lol! Definitely buying for all my friends!

This is not the kind if system your use to babysit your little one or toddler. They will definately progress better with adult super visor, how intense that supervision is depends on the child. Our is 3, and she loves the fishing count game. Great teaching tool to assist parents beyond the traditional.

Nowadays, it is very difficult keeping kids away from iPad, etc. School adopted them now and giving out digital assignments as well. So, instead of restricting my kids from the iPad, I let them use it in an engaging way; Osmo comes with many learning apps that can keep my kids busy. The kid is having fun doing it as well. I would recommend this product to parents. I find the apps are a little expensive though.
