A few things to consider for install....The fireplace insert needs to sit flush with the finished wall for a nice reveal and only two screws hold it in place on the back of the unit. I had to add 3/8 for backing to bring it forward. I used the opening dimensions given on the listing and almost made the finished opening too big. The insert is 30.5 wide, 16.625 tall. I love the variations of color for backlighting and for the plastic broken glass. The only issue I have is that I dont think the remote is very responsive. It seems I have to push the button more then once or twice to change settings, which I may ask for a new remote.

Understand, this is a great fireplace. Great features and looks too. But this review is about the installation. The instruction manual is a mini-disaster. I made a 2x4 wall to create a free-floating inwall recessed installation. The unit was not going to attach to a back wall but to a 2x4 frame. Instructions do not address this setup. Further, I worked out how I could fix fireplace to my wall which led me to how could I screw down the removable front if my fireplace was recessed into this new wall. The lovely lady at the help desk supplied me with the answers. I was sent a video instructing me how to secure the fireplace which duplicated by "fix". The face of the fireplace is secured by adding a screw in the top intake grille. There is a threaded screw hole that will secure the front face. Problem solved. So even though the original bottom screw is not installed the f/p front will not fall out. Moral of the story - Customer Service is outstanding. They will support us.

The unit itself is sleek and pretty. The color options are great. But I am very disappointed in the heat output. We have a good sized master bedroom and it takes hours for it to make a difference in temperature. I am afraid I would trade the coolness for a unit that actually makes our room warmer. Disappointing purchase.

How to put in my bedroom. Had a contractor put a mantel over it. Looks great works great only drawback is it makes a weird clicking noise when the heat isn't on!looks beautiful

It is really nice to look at but the remote has to be aimed at a very specific spot otherwise it doesn't work. The heat output is decent, would like it to be a bit warmer. And the cord when in use gets very hot.

Easy handling light weight small heating element gives off surprisingly good strong heat blowing action. Fingerprints are easily noticed have to clean it good care where to touch Remote control Is inconsistent at times it won’t work but its temporary

It works as described. The only drawback is that the is not a temperature sensor, so if you turn on, don't set a timer and forget to turn off before walking away, when you come back you will have a very warm room. Pro: works as described Con: no temperature sensor Still I would recommend
