Except for the very first tiles i had which was good, all the new ones including the tile pro have terrible connectivity issues. Many times i try to find tiles and i have three and it fails to ring even right next to item. Ive had threenreplaced and same issues. Then if i sometimes press and hold the tile and retry i can after 3 attempts get it to ring. I wont be buying anymore and its a shame as the comcept is good however their product is rally really faulty

We have many of these devices associated to many different smartphones - but regardless when we need them they almost never ring. The phone could be 2” from them and they won’t go off. Maddening, especially when you depend on them to find something in the heat of the moment. The app is slick, the devices are durable, battery seems to last - but they fail to do their job, locating an item and alerting you to its presence - unless you are at a play or something, then likely you’ll accidentally hit the button on the device which will cause your phone - which you already know the location of - to wail continuously. I’d give them a zero star rating if I could, will be replacing them with TrackR or something similar.

Like every other tile user, I bought these to find keys, but not just anyone's keys - my grandmother's keys. At her age, she tends to misplace them once in a while, and instead of driving to her house each time they go missing, I assumed this device would solve the problem. No more hour-long garbage can adventures for me. I purchased the tile from Best Buy on her birthday, which was in February, and to the device's credit, it worked well the handful of times it was needed. Unfortunately, five months into the device's tenure, it just stopped making a sound. Tonight (in July), I spent ONE HOUR searching for them. Even though the app indicated they were playing a tone and were located somewhere nearby, the Tile was silent and I couldn't find them ANYWHERE. Eventually, I discovered her keys wedged behind a piece of furniture - out of sight but easily located IF the Tile had done its job. Now, I don't know which possibility is worse: that the battery died less than half-way into its advertised 12-month lifespan, or if simple shoddy manufacturing somehow resulted in a defective solid state device with few parts that could become compromised. When I found them, I'd like to add that I put the tile to my ear, and the sound coming from the tile was BARELY AUDIBLE. There would be absolutely no possibility to hear it from more than an inch or two away. This is ridiculous and I am incredibly disappointed in the device I paid so much money for. If it was, in fact, the battery that failed, would it kill them to add a battery status warning that alerts the user before the device becomes nonfunctional? I'm sure the team that works on these things isn't stupid, and I'm sure they also know there is no faster way to alienate a consumer than to sell them an expensive safety net that fails silently and without warning MONTHS before it's actually needed. If they added even that, then MAYBE the Tile would be worth the asking price. As it is, I'm going to start warning everyone I know off of buying one until Tile develops a device that lasts more than half of its advertised lifespan. Deceptive at best, criminal at worst.

Please do not buy this product. You should be aware that the battery starts draining as soon as it is packaged and leaves the warehouse. I didn’t open it right away, and once I did, it died immediately. I contacted Tile, and they told me too bad so sad. The customer service is horrific, as is the product. A huge waste of my time and money.

Like others, I lose my keys all the time so I was really hopeful the technology in these little tiles was ready for prime time. It’s just not consistent. 30% of the time it would work as designed but the other 70% was full of aggravation. :) finding my keys became more work with the Tile since I was always trying to figure out why it wouldn’t ring my phone consistently. It looks like orhers have had some success but not me. For the record, I’m an IOS user. I was using my Tile with an iPhone 6s as well as my iPhone X. Both had the same issues. I never tried Tile with Android. Best of luck

I've had my tile almost half a year and love it, but recently I tried to find it while it was attached to my keys and it wouldn't ring. Once I found my keys I clicked the button a few times and tried to find it again and it rang. Then I tried to find it once more and it wouldn't ring. I've now figured out that the button gets stuck slightly pushed in and when that happens it won't ring. Tried using it several times again and it rings about half the time the other half the button is stuck in. If it didn't have this problem it would be a five star hands down.

I purchased this item 18 months ago, had to wait 4 months before it arrived. (Had it mailed to my box in Blaine, WA) It was on back back BACK order. thought it would be cool to have on my work keys as I always misplace them. I was hesitant to activate it as the battery is said to only last 1yr. When I finally activated it, I had the same problem over and over. I would leave them in my car, near my house and it wouldn't be able to tell me the last known location once I was inside my house with my phone. I could walk up to my car door and it still wouldn't tell me the tile was inside the car. My phone would have to be open to the app with me in the car for it to tell me its been found. Not what I was expecting.

I had an older style tile for a couple years and I received an email that my tile needed to be replaced. So I bought a Tile Mate and and the only thing I can get connect through the app is my iPhone and my iPad. It will not list my tile mate on my list of devices which the whole purpose was to be able to find my keys. When using to help information there is no way to connect to the chat or Tech Support or customer service. The device is dead and worthless. I got the same applications from the find my iPhone apps that come with my phone and iPad. These people need to get their act together.

I purchased my first one two years ago. The only time I needed to find my keys the battery had died. No luck finding keys. Company told me I had to replace tile annually- after it stopped working, of course. This time I purchased a new one on time. Tried to sync it to my phone app. It says you're trying to sync a tile that has already been used. I just opened the package which just arrived at my door. When I tried again the tile no longer made any sound. My old tile activated when I searched for the key. However it continues to indicate that I must retire. So I have needed this one time and it failed to activate. I tried to retire this time and it won't activate new tile. I contact the company and no one responds! I guess I've simply made a charitable donation to Tile. I wonder if I can get a tax write off?

I had the original Tile and it worked perfectly but it came time to replace it "re-tile" as they called it. Note that this is not based on actually battery capacity but just on a generic 1 year timeframe. I bring this up because I had one of the Mile Mates fail within 2 months of getting it. Emailed tile, no response. Of the other 3 the 2 that are in use are inconsistent at best. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't and sometimes it doesn't work and suddenly after 10 or so minutes it works. Why? Who knows. All I know is that I miss the original (I'll call it original although technically it's Gen 2) It was the only one that has worked consistently over the year and it isn't being mfrd so it's too bad
