Interesting

First off EVERY SINGLE PERSON needs to learn about encryption and just how simple it is, NEVER will I upload a file regardless of what type it is anything and everything can be encrypted then you can upload all files and the folks behind the cloud (s) don't stand a chance of knowing or seeing what you encrypted then uploaded to but not just clouds. Depending on the type of encryption, it would take the Cia of NCIS a hundred years and network of highest processing computers x 100 of them to break the unlock code. I hardly think us common Americans have anything the government wants to use a million $ over and all the people to see what we do or where we go!!! On the other hand if you do have a file of any type and you upload to a cloud and it's something you don't want to be seen, then you best not upload to cloud. Look people, go and buy your own cloud, they used to be at a low price in the early 2,000's. I have many many of them with 500 hundred of Gigabytes and a few into the terabyte range. Some were called live drive by Western digital, others too. Here's the cool part, it's wired to your home network and only you can access it from anywhere if you have a device you carry and can communicate with your encrypted live drive...yes it's all encrypted and since it's at your home or w/e it's all safe. But here's the problem android communicating with 32/64 bit machine. There's likely an app or a workaround but for security you can't beat having your own cloud at home or office. Just open the encrypted HD pull the directory onto a screen in front of you then unencrypt it them there it is just as it was when you uploaded it, no prying eyes ! I'm gonna check all that to see what's there is for Droid machina. L1 Good Luck.

Something has changed in the last year, nowhere near as reliable and useful as they used to be.

I've been using Tile devices since the originals came out. For a while things were OK, but in the last 12 months or so, the reliability of these has been very poor. Now part of this has to do with the fact that these devices pair with your phone via Bluetooth - and bluetooth only works to about 30 feet. But even with that limitation in mind, like many other reviewers, I constantly get the "phone is literally next to the Tile device, but the phone can't find it" problem. This was NOT typical of older tiles. A more recent - and even worse - problem is that the Tile app finds the Tile tag, and claims it is playing a sound, and there's no sound at all coming out of the device. But - by far - the worst problem is the behavior where the app seems to in some kind of contact with the Tile tag, but there's a perpetually spinning circle as it is "locating" the tag - but it never makes the connection. The standard Tile support response can be boiled down to: "Reboot your phone, and see what happens after a few minutes." Note that this does not actually solve the problem, but it does make you wonder why you spent $500 on a collection of Tile tags if they don't actually work most of the time. The degradation in overall quality and customer experience is startling, as I was a big fan of these devices for a while, and I have a considerable investment in quite a few of the Tile tags. But now, as they gradually die off, I'm not replacing them. I'm just trying to be more careful with my stuff :)

It's coming apart

I haven't had to use it to find my keys yet, but tested it to see if it really works - it does. I have had it for about 12 days and it is already coming apart, I'm afraid it won't even last a month. Sure it gets a lot of wear on my key chain, but that's where it has to be.

I am sure it works fine, but I just never have used it after 6 months. Kind of a waste of money. You really have to have huge memory issues I guess. I meant to write this a couple months ago, but kept forgetting.
