Gave this to my daughter for Christmas and the shell fender snapped off within the first hour of using this product. Also I inspected it and noticed there is another crack on the actual body of the hoverboard as well. Extremely upset about this. Way too expensive to break this easy! My daughter is also well below the max weight limit!

This hoverboard almost killed my 6 month old baby. Yes I know.. sounds weird. Here’s what happened: When we got this hoverboard we were impressed with it. It was sturdy, attractive, and looked like it could handle being used outside. The tires were tough looking and huge. The lights were so so cool. We turned it on (already had a charge out of the box which was cool) and my son immediately got on it and it was extremely easy for him to maneuver. Took him only a few minutes to get the hang of it. But when he got off of it the board would slowly drift and drive by itself. We thought it was weird but overlooked it. We thought maybe this was normal. We’ve never had a board so we weren’t sure if they did this or not. It moved slowly so it wasn’t an issue for my son to hop on and off. So we just ignored it. Until tonight. My son was sitting on the couch with the board near his feet. He was having fun changing the colors on the board with the app which is super cool by the way. When the board suddenly started to spin violently fast on its own. My son had his foot on one of the pedals to stop it from moving when this happened. The board went flying across the room spinning so fast we could hardly see it. It flew right towards my 6 month old infant playing on the living room floor. It came within inches of her. My husband had to lie on top of this thing and wrestle it to the death to be able to pick it up and try and quickly press the off button. The wheels were still spinning extremely fast. His hands were torn up from the wheels spinning so fast trying to get it to stop. My heart sinks when I think what could’ve happened to my baby had this actually hit her in the head. It would have most likely killed her. I am not being dramatic. It was spinning that fast. I mean This thing could’ve decapitated her. It makes me ill to even think how close I could’ve come to losing my daughter to something I didn’t know could ever happen from a hoverboard. So all this being said the only thing we can think of about how this could’ve happened is that one of the pedals was stuck down. Which is why it always slowly spun and moved when nobody was on it. And that the pedal got fully stuck down and it thought someone was on it. Absolutely terrifying.

This is a horrible device.... sounds odd but this hooverboard scared the life out of my child. He was changing the colors on the app, and all of a sudden the hooverboard began to violently spin on it’s own!!!! My son is terrified of this board. Only had it one day and will be returning this item. Target should really consider discontinuing this item because it is not safe!

Out of Control!! On the first day my son rode this Hooverboard it suddenly spun out of control. I didn't witness what caused it but heard him screaming and had to wrestle it to get it to stop spinning. Thought it was a fluke. Then I heard him today scream this time it was going full speed in circles and hitting our mailbox. Company told me it needs calibration. I'm returning it tomorrow.

We purchased this hoverboard for a Christmas gift for our daughter. She has been riding it and we have had no issues. We were going to purchase another one for our other daughters birthday. When I went to see if it was still available at Target I noticed a review posted by Jennifer on January 2, 2021. She had a horrible experience with this hoverboard. She stated that it started violently spinning and flew across the room and came with in inches of hitting her infant on the living room floor. I couldn’t believe it, but I just thought she must have unfortunately got a defective hoverboard. Well today that changed. My daughters friend, (who knows how to ride) was on my daughters hoverboard today. She was slowly riding back and forth. All off a sudden she went flying and the hoverboard started spinning out of control. All I could think about was the review I read last week. I quickly helped her up and told her and my younger daughter to go to the far end of the kitchen and hide behind the counter. (Yes, they were riding in the house. I have a large great room with lots of open space.) The hoverboard was violently spinning out of control. I went to grab a large beanbag chair to throw on top of it, to stop it from spinning. But before I threw it, the board had spun into the corner and flew into a chair knocking it over. The hoverboard got stuck between the chair and table leg and finally stopped spinning. My daughters friend is ok thank goodness but has a huge bruise on her ankle. All I can think about is what if the hoverboard hit her when she was on the ground or if she had broken something. It was spinning so fast that it cracked the corner molding and the tires even have slices missing from where it hit into things. I will be following up with Target and Jetson tomorrow but please be very careful. I am thinking these hoverboards are defective and a recall needs to be made. I am so upset thinking about how things could have went today. I am still stunned by the power that was behind this hoverboard as it was spinning out of control. Please be careful especially if your hoverboard was purchased during this time period.

I decided to purchase this over the otherJetson hoverboard so my dugtr could get longer use of it. Within 2 weeks of purchasing it crazy, jerking and spinning wildly. Tried recalibration and other recommended trouble shooting. Another week or so later and i have an expensive paper weight. Sucks for a kid who waited after christmas for her only gift to break.

Stay away from Jetson one lasted a year and the other lasted a year and one month! There are better company's out there with a lot better customer service and parts departments.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 12 year old son absolutely is a techy kid. He is always the first try any new tech we get. He was so very excited to try out this new flashy hoverboard. The wheels are made of rubber and grip the ground very well. The LEDs in the wheels give a psychedelic look and look like they go very deep inside the wheel. Like an optical illusion. One of the first trys on it, the right wheel started to have a mind of its own and do what I call a death spin. My son started yelling that the board was going out of control. I ran in there and the board was spinning very quickly and I had to extend my foot to try to stop it and ended up grabbing it with my hands instead. It left tire marks on the wall and on the floor tile. We thought it was a fluke but it happened yet again in the kitchen. Same thing. Death spin and this time my son squated down and grabbed the floor and yelled for help. I quickly turned it off and my son refused to get on it ever again. I'm not sure what the issue is with the board itself. But I would not recommend.

I would give this 0 stars if possible. I ordered my son the razor hoverboard and he loves it. My niece wanted one and due to timing limitations, I went with this one. Unfortunately, I only read the first 8 or so reviews which were all positive. However, due to a very frightening experience with it during its first use, I went to put it back in the box to return and was curious if anyone else had the same experience with it violently spinning out of control. It spun so fast knocking my 12-year-old niece to the ground hitting her head. I had to use a long stick to get it to stop but not before it went flying into the air and hitting the wall and causing a huge dent. They’re lucky my niece was not badly hurt. Turns out there are several others with the same experience. This hoverboard should be recalled or taken off the shelf before someone is really hurt.

I bought the Jetson impact extreme terrain hoverboard in November of 2020 as a Christmas gift for my 12-year old son. We recently had two very unsafe and scary experiences with it. As he was riding down a street, it suddenly changed speeds jolting him off. He scraped his arms and legs and bumped his head. We made the wrong choice and continued to let him use it, thinking it was a battery issue. However, a couple days ago it spun out of control, knocking him off it. It continued to spin uncontrollably banging into my son and hitting the leg of a chair nearby, breaking off a small part. I am thankful my son was not hurt worse on either occasion.
