Box clearly states that the hover board can reach max speeds of up to 12mph. I downloaded the app and tried to adjust it to maximum speeds and it automatically reverts to 9 mph instead of 12mph. The other issue we are having is my husband and I get on it to ride it the hover board creeks but we are well below the max weight of 220lbs.

Seems like a fun and durable toy. At first try, it seems to be made well and the wheels seem durable. We have had some issues though and it's only been 2 weeks since he received the item for Christmas. The battery will not have a full charge even after being plugged up for 24 hours. It has also been repeating "Power On" for several minutes after you begin to ride it. Hopefully, Target will allow an exchange of some sort.

This is a really nice hoverboard at first. I nicknamed it The Tumbler after the Christopher Nolan Batmobile for its looks. I loved the lights, the power, etc. I bought this one on a sale because of its better battery and motor compared to the Sphere. As an adult, the Sphere only lasted 20-30 minutes, but the Impact lasted 50-60 minutes, plus has a lot of great features. However, within a week, the right wheel locked up and wouldn't move. I exchanged it for a new one, which shuddered when it moved, and the battery only lasted about 25 minutes. Jetson has strong customer service and warranty replacement policies, so I got a new one. That worked well for about 2 months (with a few weeks of no use) until the right wheel locked up. Warranty replacement, and now I get another one that shudders with 25 minute battery life. After 4 attempts at this hoverboard, I've given up and returned it. It's great when it works, but it seems like it's just not reliable enough. While Jetson has good warranty coverage, it just seems far too likely that this will fail after the 1 year warranty is over.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hoverboard is so cool, the app has so many options to control speed, music and color. I love the versatility of the terrain you can drive this on, my child does too. It charges pretty quickly and can be used for quite a while. The only issue I have is that ours arrived with a crack in it. It doesn’t seem to affect the function but I was very disappointed.

we will be returning this hoverboard. the battery life is dismal. it is also advertised as off road capable but struggles thru the grass. the android app to change the settings, music, lights, etc is I need of a lot of work. it constantly crashes and disconnects for the hoverboard. its a shame. seems like good build quality, but in the end it's not even close to as capable as hoverboards.com boards. there aren't many good reviews or videos on this hoverboard so I wanted to add my experience.

My son loves to ride his hover board and this one seems to be decently durable however the battery life is horrible and customer service seems non existent because I still haven't gotten a reply. My son has had this model less than 5 months and 100% charge last maybe 20 mins. This is not the battery expectancy that was advertised.

My son got this for Christmas, so 16 months ago. 4 months in the motor went out and the hoverboard was replaced. 2 months after we got the replacement that one went out.. My son is now 9, never used outdoors. I’ve decided to go with a different brand next time.. especially for the price I paid, it should last longer than 6 months!

The impact doesn't fall in line with its marketing of "extreme all terrain" it only functions on a smooth flat surface, and does not have the torque required to go up any kind of slope. The estimate of 12 miles does not seem possible in any environment, and reaching 12 mph is unlikely without reaching torque limits and having to step off. If you have only smooth flat surfaces to ride on its pretty neat, but will stall out on any incline. Not nearly enough power.

My son loved this item, but unfortunately it did not work for long. Great for 6-8 months

Lots of fun, but battery cannot be replaced and their warranty is one year. Battery is dead and now we can't use the product at all. VERY DISAPPOINTING.
