IT WAS ALL GOOD JUST A WEEK AGO

Even though having this for a year...Initially I bragged about owning this because why would you not? Anyway, I can't brag about it anymore because the first, second, third and fourth lid stopped working within a week. EVERY time the company responded with "we'll send you a replacement". So customer service works even though the lid doesn't, they TRY.I think they should try to fix the very issue that everyone has, the lid; it breaks in the closed position or (mostly) the open position.I wouldn't splurge on this if eye were you.The vacuum is a great feature, a little loud but it works, it's the lid that's the issue.

Worked for 2 weeks and then stoped working

After two weeks the lid stopped closing. Tried a hard rest and still doesn’t work.

Waste of money

I wanted to love this can . 1st can stopped working in a couple of days lid issues . 2nd can received and after a week the lid will go up but not back down . Won’t be wasting my time sending it back for a 3rd time . The lid is flawed .

Disappointed

Pretty good idea for a trashcan. Really liked it for the first few days until the lid stopped working. It's stuck open about six inches and won't work automatically anymore. We've had it two weeks. Vacuum canister still works and is handy. A lot of money for a trash can that breaks in two weeks. Working on warranty replacement now.Original purchase delivered 2/20/2023. The original lid failed within a month, it was stuck open. Company was responsive and supportive replacing the first lid.Update 4/2 2023: Received a replacement lid for the original broken one 2-weeks ago. Unfortunately it failed today. This one has failed closed, the motor won't open the lid. Sent another warranty request for a replacement.Update 4/9/23. Several days following the 4/2 post, the vacuum function failed on the can. We contacted the company and instead of sending a lid, they offered to replace the entire unit. Have to say the company has been very responsive and timely in handling my issue. We hope the new unit lasts longer the the first one. Here is the response from the company:JPaulJones LP via freshdesk.comHi John,​Thank you for sending this photo! Your photo has been approved and will be forwarded to our team to issue the replacement. You will receive your replacement within 7-10 business days. Update 6/10/23, have received the new unit an put it into service. Have already replaced the lid on the new unit. Company has provided great support with replacement lids but unfortunately the engineering needs improvement.
