Not 100% compatible with fire HD 8

Comes with classic reflector. Requires adapter to adjust reflector height in order to work properly with fire HD 8. Adapter is not included. Adapter is not available on the osmo website nor on Amazon. Only option is to pay $9.99 for the new adapter with adjustable tension.

Overpriced for what you get, with overly delicate markers

I bought this for my 5YO's birthday because she used Osmo at school and she loves to draw. We got the genius kit for our Kindle Fire Tablet and then this one with the iPad base, so we could switch them out and two kids play at once on different tablets.Within 15 minutes of drawing, my daughter had ruined two of the 4 markers that came with the set just by pushing down as she sketched. We use various types of markers nearly daily, and this doesn't happen to our other art supplies. It was disappointing as I now have to find replacement markers and spend more money basically immediately.Second, while the white board is nice and feels sturdy, I didn't realize you don't even need their board to play any of the games it advertises for this set. I found this out because my son saw my daughter playing the monster game and wanted to do it on his tablet at the same time. Turns out a generic white board or even piece of white paper works!I wanted a second base but the value for my money would have been better if I bought one of the other starter or little genius kits instead since it would expand the number of games we can actually play with pieces we don't have and can't easily substitute with a much cheaper solution.

Misleading info! Very confusing

Someone seriously has to read through all the details and happen to notice that it doesn’t come with the correct reflector for Fire tablets? We have a Fire HD 8, 10th generation. Didn’t realize till after Christmas that we needed the different reflector, which costs about $10. That took two more weeks to get to us. Then it still wasn’t working and it turns out you need to adjust the reflector screw on it to horizontal position to help it reflect tablets that are landscape mode rather than portrait mode. Thank goodness for investigation skills because this is not written out anywhere that I could find! There were basically no instructions on the Osmo box too! I thought had thrown something away on accident, but NOPE. The description on here needs serious re-writing and the Osmo company should make things a bit more user-friendly! Overall a cool game though.
