I had a little mixer that we used for coffee and drinks. It worked OK but then eventually quit. In looking for a replacement I wanted something with more options. This little school does at all! It has good blending power and comes with other attachments depending on your need. It’s easy to clean and easy to use. He will not be disappointed.

This is a great little machine.First, the build: the main immersion blender here is very heavy duty, made of decent gauge stainless steel. It feels weighty in your hand - not too heavy so it's awkward to use, but not light or cheap material. I've gotten one other immersion blender that was made of cheap plastic and felt like it was going to break apart on the first blend - this is not that.The attachments all appear to be the same build quality. The food processor attachment was a bit larger than I was expecting, which for my purposes is good - still not super big, but perfect if you're making a quick pesto or sauce and don't want to break out your full food processor.Power: GREAT. There's an adjustable knob at the top that is easy to access mid blend if you want to change the speed of your blending, and a turbo button if you just want to cut to the chase. So a ton of flexibility in your speed control AND decent blending power. This isn't going to, say, pulverize grain into flour (no stick blender would), but it made short work of pureeing a chunky sauce into a smooth one.Storage: this comes with a bunch of attachments, and it's up to you to figure out how to store then all, there isn't a bag or anything. That said, it has a slim design and all the attachments have the same low profile, so they all fit well together in my drawer and haven't taken up a ton of space.

I love making chickpea salad using the chopping function! I also made potato soup and blended a little bit of it up and it did an amazing job!
