Adequate Immersion Blender And Accessories With Some Questionable Issues

The CHEFX 5-in-1 Immersion Blender was ordered to replace an immersion blender we have used for many years.I like the immersion blender, but have some concerns with regard to its construction and overall power. The blender comes with a large container for placing food in, a chopping bowl, a frother, a whisk, and an immersion blender with a head. These seem to be well made, though the frother and whisk component steel seem to be very flexible, almost too flexible. In practice, this may be OK, but they just seemed too flexible when compared to another whisk I've used. The product description states this product has "9 speeds + turbo". I tested the unit when received, and my spouse used the product the day after receipt. Both of us were of the same opinion with regard to the general speed of the unit. It had good speed when using, but the turbo and regular speed were about the same. There was nothing special about the turbo. In addition, if there are 9 different speeds, then we could not actuate them. There are 2 buttons which turn on the unit and turbo function. The buttons are located at the top of the immersion blender unit. I found them to be somewhat used "unfriendly", and would have much preferred them to be lower on the arm in order to hold the unit when using. They just seemed uncomfortable to me. My spouse did not have the same issue. She used the mixing bowl to chop some vegetables for a salad and liked the results of chopping carrots and other vegetables. The chopping blade seemed, to me, to be too thin and flexible, but my spouse had no issues with this either and was pleased. The unit attaches to the immersion blender and chopping bowl with a "twist" of the unit into a housing on the blender and bowl. Other units I've used in the past are secured by "snapping" in place in the housing with a button snap. When in place, the ChefX "wiggles" up and down minutely against the housing. It also seems like it could become loose if moved or "twisted" improperly. My spouse did not experience this issue, but when getting used to the unit I found this to be disconcerting. With regard to cleaning & maintenance, the instruction guide indicates, "wipe all units (motor, chopping, whisk, frother, blender) with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water. All other accessories can be put in the dishwasher". That makes it seems that only the plastic parts can be washed in the dishwasher or hand-washed. However, the product description states: "EASY TO CLEAN - Accessories including detachable arms, beaker, and chopping cup. All parts are dishwasher safe for easy cleanup after cooking". There seems to be some conflict in the wording. The detachable arms seem to be the frother and whisk. If they are stainless steel why could they not be placed in the dishwasher? I would not put the chopping blade or the immersion blade in the dishwasher, but I do not understand why the detachable arms would be restricted.BOTTOM LINE: I am somewhat conflicted about the overall quality of this unit. It seems to have adequate power but the unit we received does not have 9 different power levels. The connection for each of the accessories is OK, but I have concerns about how secure they actually are. I liked the chopping power and my spouse has the same opinion. My wife and I both like this unit, but I have concerns about the overall quality and long-term use of this product.

I am disappointed that it's not cordless

If it was cordless, I would love it
