Difficult at times to pair and keep it's pairing.

Great Vacuum! Has its flaws, but it's a great Vacuum!

I so desperately wanted to give this a 5 star, but knew I couldn't. The smart mapping is great, it cleans the hardwood floors very well, and it's quick navigation will have any space clean pretty quickly. It says it cleans about 400 sqft of our apartment (apartments advertised square footage is about 900), and it does it in about 30-40 minutes and still has about 60% of it's charge, so if you have about 800 sqft of unblocked floor, it'll get it cleaned in one charge. Our old 690 Roomba would get stuck everywhere, but this one has yet to get stuck and we've had it for a month and a half. That's all fine and great, unless you have pets. Now, we have 2 dogs and 2 cats. It picks up the hair on the hardwood great, but when you add rugs into the mix, plan on vacuuming the hair it leaves behind on the rugs yourself. That on top of the fact that the bin gets clogged with our dog hair because it's the smallest little bin. I just wouldn't recommend this for pet owners. I know this is a mid-range Roomba model and I know there's more designed for pets and ones that have self emptying containers on the base, but I would expect for the price, to be able to clean a rug. That's why I couldn't give it a 5. But again, great Vacuum.

Very good at getting up cat hair and more dirt than I knew was there.

Very Very loud. Sometimes it simply goes back and forth rather than going everywhere. It usually runs out of power and stops rather than going back to the charging dock. It often misses the charging points and doesn't charge until manually placed.

Patience is key....I don't have any, but we're trying!

Ricky the Roomba has been working for a month in our home now. He struggles sometimes, but the amount of vacuuming that I don't have to do...90% less!Ricky is really starting to learn the layout of the house and how to navigate our almost 1in difference in floor height between our kitchen and living room. This is an almost 30ft stretch so it was a struggle to learn it and where my lack of patience actually hindered his learning progress.Don't pick your Ricky up and move him all the way across the house when you get tired of hearing him struggle. Just move him a tiny bit so that it still understands where it is.I have 2 high shedding dogs and mechanic husband and Ricky really helps keep the main parts of the house clean. I close my office door and the extra bedroom and let him do his thing. We have a simple floor plan so the i2 works well for us. If the house wasn't an open floor plan rectangle then I would definitely want a higher end device to do smart mapping. 'Overall worth every bit of the $200. (We also own 2 stick dysons - also worth it)

Gets stuck all the time

Gets stuck every night and I have to search for it in the morning. Never completes a job. Always loses battery in the morning so can’t find it from the app to return to docking station or at least make a sound. Would be nice to be able to beep it from the app to locate it when it gets stuck.

Great but the brush is fragile

It is working well. However I give 4 stars because the all brush is broken in month. It must be more stronger

Pretty Good, Could Be Better

This is the second robot vacuum I've tried. I initially went with a highly rated no-name cheap one, but it could never make it out of my living room and just kept going over the same areas over and over.I got this one as a secondhand warehouse deal. It seems to make it around the house much better as it displays a map after each round that more or less resembles my floorplan.Unfortunately this thing is pretty loud. With the other one I could run it and watch TV. With this one I don't want to be around. It's more aggressive in its cleaning, but that seems to result in it just sucking up a lot of fuzz from my new area rugs. The battery life is as advertised, about 90 minutes, but that's apparently not nearly enough time to clean my 1,000 square feet as it has to return and recharge twice, meaning it takes six hours to clean the house. The biggest problem with this thing is the dustbin. It's very small and needs to be emptied three times per cleaning. A lot of that is the carpet fuzz that will presumably dissipate, but still. Also, the full bin indicator doesn't go off until the thing is totally stuffed with dirt flying out into the vac so you need a dust buster on hand to empty it. I'm not really interested in the $200+ automatic bin Because I don't have room for it - I dock this under the credenza. And it really does need four feet clear in front of the dock or it won't be able to maneuver. Annoying.Overall, given that between the used item savings and a warehouse deal promotion I only paid a fraction of list price, I'll be keeping this as it is probably my best bet. If I could justify the top of the line ones with cameras and lasers I would. The value here for me is that it gets under my furniture and sucks up all the cat hair that ends up there.

Convenient but Disappointing

I am going to start off with the fact that this thing broke on me within two months. The spinner brush that assists in cleaning corners stopped working, and it really sucked to have issues that early on.Everything ended up okay - but only because I purchased this through Amazon with Amazon being the seller, so luckily iRobots technical support came to the rescue. The wait is nonexistent and they are quite attentive - helping me troubleshoot and then ordering a new motor for me (which was extremely simple to fix for someone who isn't great at that stuff).Suggestion would be to make sure you're ordering from Amazon as the actual seller.

Easy to use and it does a good job.

We have had a Roomba for several years, so we wanted to upgrade so we purchased this one. It works great and very pleased that we bought it.
