Very messy. Liquid comes out of vent. Do not buy.

Messiest rice cooker ever!!

This thing absolutely REAKS and made my rice taste like chemicals, even after trying it out several times. On top of that it leaks out SO MUCH water during the steaming process; which then makes my rice burnt and dry. This thing was a total waste of my money

It gets one star for cooking rice and well mostly because I have to give it a star to review. Other than that when you open it make sure you have a bunch of towels near by because the water on the top will go everywhere except where it suppose to. The seal is fine but the holes to the chamber on the side that’s suppose to collect the water is too far back, too small, and utterly useless. I had the version before this and it worked great for years till I broke it from dropping it, thought this was the same one but although it looks upgraded it’s a total downgrade from the old one. I have no idea how the company’s quality control works but this product of there’s is a total dud and shouldn’t have been put on the shelf till they figure out this issue especially because the version before it worked just fine at catching the water at the end. Returning soon if I can.

Bought the rice cooker in 11/2021. Barely use it. Maybe once or twice a month. Went to use it today and the buttons don’t work. Disappointed in what I paid and how few uses I got out of it. Don’t buy this if you are looking for longevity. Also, the top leaks. The gasket where it steams pools and creates a giant puddle on the lid.

The vent on the top of the lid spurts out cooking water. This puddles on the top of the cooker, and if not caught, it drips down the sides. Returned, and DON'T BUY THIS!!

Leakes out water everywhere when I cook. I would not buy it again and will not recommend it.

After having a different Aroma rice cooker for 12 years, we finally needed to replace it. Purchased this particular model, not once BUT THREE TIMES & they were all defective! The first one, the digital timer was messed up. It didn’t time properly during cook time, it wouldn’t switch to warm once it was done cooking; or show how long it was keeping it warm, if it did switch over. The second one, the seal was warped & it ended up spraying water all over the front during the cooking time. The third, not sure exactly what was wrong with it because it was a USED RETURN & in nasty condition!!! I’ll blame Target for the third because they obviously didn’t do their job properly by opening the box & checking the item when it was returned to the store. I debated giving it a whirl for a fourth time but after opening the box (in store) the seal on that one, was warped as well. Save yourself money, time & aggravation by NOT purchasing this model!
