I have to say, I LOVE Aroma rice cookers! I have had three in total and while I loved both of the first two, this one had an issue for me. It cooks the rice fine, but creates a very strong smell that is similar to burning plastic or burning rubber. At first I thought it was just a "new appliance" smell, but I've had for two months and used it 2-3 times per week and it still won't go away. Not sure if this is a problem with this model or just my particular rice cooker. Because of that smell, I feel disappointed in my purchase.

Loved how my rice came out - I do wild rice and it was perfect. So loved that issue. HOWEVER, the upper lid is impossible to clean thoroughly. It does not detach, and I spent way too much time trying to find out if I was being an idiot. Nope. Lid does not come off. And the rice cooker makes a mess. I wouldn't care about that if the lid could be cleaned properly. But it can't. So back it goes.
Disappointed
I'm guessing some corporate genius realized they could save 12 cents per cooker by eliminating the ability to clean the inner lid. Maybe they figured few people would notice? But if you ever cook more than a few cups at a time, water splashes are going to make it to the top - with rice starch in them. It's going to accumulate over time. Your household bacteria will be grateful for the free dinner, but you won't be when you smell it fermenting with no way to clean it out. You'll probably pay more for a well-made rice cooker at your local Asian market, but you won't have to throw it out when the smell and taste gets into your rice.

Works great when it works, but after four months it stopped working and didn’t turn on anymore. :( maybe a fluke.

the steam liquid that comes out of the top just pools into the center of the lid. It doesn't drain into the little plastic pocket that's meant to catch that water. it doesn't work at all! You lift the lid and it just goes all over your counter. No idea who the engineer was on this product but they failed the most basic part of a rice cooker's design.

It does the function. The rice turned out good. But there is something wrong with the steam valve. At the first time it was no problem. But later on, it steams too much water and leaking all over the top. Too bad.
