I was really excited to try this out! I love hot rollers and the way they make my hair look. My first issue was the way the rollers are placed in the unit. You would think that they would easily slide on and off but that is not the case, some came right off but other were getting stuck and you had to wiggle them to get them on or off. My next issue was that there isn't a spot on them that isn't hot, so you are forced to toss it back and forth like a hot potato until it cools off a little so you can hold it long enough to roll your hair up in it...and the cooler it is, the less it will curl your hair! My third issue came when removing the curlers from my hair. The edges have little ridges in them and instead of effortlessly unraveling my hair, I had to stop multiple times and unhook my hair from the ridges, very frustrating. After all of that, the curls did look nice but it wasn't easy getting there and they didn't last very long, I'm assuming because of issue number two. Sorry, this didn't work on my hair, I waited the 10 minutes for the larger rollers, they didn't hold a curl like the smaller ones. I had to recall everything with a curling iron. Disappointing.

These don't heat evenly. There are hot curlers and there are barely warm curlers. The 'hot' ones are the only ones that actually curl my hair so they are the only ones I use. Nothing like using 5 curlers out of a set of 20.

This was great at first but then a couple of weeks into using it the heat for each to the curlers weren't consistent and they stopped becoming as effective. This is the second remington item that has failed me so far which is disappointing since all of my hair tools so far have been by this brand and i've had great luck with it.

I received the rollers as a Christmas gift. They were excellent. I loved how they work and how my hair looked, however, they only lasted 8 months. I plugged them in, light came on-no heat! My last rollers (different brand) lasted years! In fact, I only replaced it because it looked so bad. No excuse for a product lasting less than a year!!!

These didn’t work for me. I’m not sure if my hair is just too long for hot rollers or what but the curls looked really crazy and not pretty. They also didn’t come out very easily and took longer than curling with a wand. I ended up returning them.

Hard to remove and one of them came apart the first time I used it. Not happy and returned it.

Didn’t get warm enough to make a tight curl made very loose curls and one of the rollers was broken in the holder. Wouldn’t buy again.

Purchased these because I love hot rollers and needed some new ones. I love the way these look but the functionality is terrible. The bottom rollers are difficult to slide up and good luck not burning your fingers in the process. I lost one clip with a roller on the bottom rack and had to use the end of my comb to scoot the roller up (it was too hot otherwise). Once I was done with the rollers I noticed that putting them back proved to be difficult, they don't slide down easily at all and I wanted to use the rollers for a fast morning routine but spent more time putting them back than I did putting them in my hair. Like the title says, a good idea in theory but over complicated. Unfortunately, the good old fashion roller setup is more effective, easier and I cant tell a difference with this thermaluxe they are referring to. Purchased a set of rollers in the normal hair setter container and it was much faster and effective (rollers were bigger in length than these too).
