The Setter is made well but I don't really care for the rollers and clips. It is hard to hold the rollers and the clips are too small to hold on to all the hair in the roller. It did heat up fast and curled alright though. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I have been using this brand and style of curlers for over ten years and they worked great! However this new design of the curlers going up loses heat. Yes, it saves space but you lose the heating of the curlers. They take a long time to heat up and they never get very hot. I will be returning these and going back to the old style. Also. The curlers themselves are flimsy and the grip on the ends gets tangled in the hair.

I really liked the finish look, but since I have thick hair, 10 minutes later my curls had fallen down. I thought the rolls would work better at staying but I was wrong. I'll just stick to my traditional curler.

What has happened to quality control? Curlers either too hot or not hot enough; hard to get curlers to fit back on unit.

Didn't get hot enough and made crimps in hair. Returned product. Tried other hot rollers that worked well (were hotter) and didn't crimp hair.

I've been using for two weeks. I love the size, smaller than the first one I've had for years. It is gentler on my hair when removing & curls very well. The reason for the rating of 3 is because the first time I tried to take roller off the stem, it pulled apart & I can't fix it. They are a challenge to take off & put back in the case, so not sure how many others will break the same way & I will always be replacing them.

I have soft, fine, shoulder length hair with some graying. These didn't get hot enough to curl my hair. I left them in for about 15 minutes, took them out, and the ends of my hair had some curl but the rest of the hair from my scalp to about mid-length did not curl. I think the design is good, but they simply don't get hot enough for my hair.

I was looking forward to this hot roller set, but find the clips leave bend marks in my hair. Would rather have roller pins which don't leave bend marks. But I do like the 2 different sizes of the rollers & the fact that it heats quickly.

They made beautiful long lasting curls for my long, thin hair but the end cap broke off one of the rollers the first time I used them. It happened when I removed the roller above it, and then it was really hard to remove that broken bottom roller from the unit. I cannot get that end cap back on. This seems to be a common problem reported in reviews. I like the compact vertical design and I like the results for my hair but I don't think these are going to last. I've seen multiple reviews that mention sparking and smoking so I will definitely never leave them unattended for a second!

Like the product but I can’t put them on without burning my fingers!! and then i don’t get good curls, my hair doesn’t stick to the roller so i’m not sure how to get a good roll on.
