This thing is great and so much better than a crock pot. I absolutely love it and enjoy cooking with it. I highly recommend anyone buying as it takes the guess work and safety concerns out of pressure cooking.

I liked my big instant pot, but it was too big . so I got this one. it is great, especially the way the steam release is more like a switch on this one...but it is a bit small if your suppose eats double portions.....but it is terrific when cooking just for me or vegetables

Easy to use, variety of usages.

This review is long over due. I was skeptical at first about this purchase but bought into the hype. It was a bit intimadating at first but after using it for just a few times, this had became one of the main appliance we use all the time since there are so many functions.

I make homemade meals for an elderly parent and this thing was a gamechanger. It can cook down meats to being very tender incredibly quickly and makes fall apart chicken in ten minutes.I stay away from using it for sauté functions and such - i tend to still do that in a pan and shift stuff over when it comes time to pressure cook. While it looks like it would be fine for using the sauté functions, I've "burn notice"-d myself too many times to forsake regular skillets. When used strictly for pressure cooking, its unbeatable.

This was my second Instant Pot purchased in 11 years. My old one simply wore out from a lot of use. This one has a design upgrade with the steam release mechanism, which I think is positive. It is the same size as my former Instant Pot and works just as well. I am pleased with this purchase.
