I've looked at the Tyme irons forever, but have never been willing to pay $200 for one. I have long, very thick, naturally curly frizzy hair. I have to either use product or use a heat tool to eliminate the frizz. I love the look I get with the wand, but it's impossible to get the very ends with the wand and I always have to touch the ends up with a curling iron and I usually have to get the root with the straight iron to get rid of the flyaways. The curls I get with my regular straightener are not quite the shape I want. I've tried many different tools - straight irons (including chi), different size curling irons, wands, straightening brush, and on and on. This one did everything - eliminated the frizz, gave a great curl, and got all the way to the ends - in one shot. I absolutely recommend this tool over all others.

The Chi iron I'd had since college finally bit the dust so I was in the market for a new one. After a lot of research I decided to give this one a try. I am so in love with it and really kind of miffed I didn't find it sooner! I have VERY thick, VERY curly hair, and it used to take me a solid 45 minutes just to flat iron it. Last night I was able to straighten it in less than half that time with much better results. My hair has never been this soft. Also, my Chi was constantly pulling hairs out of my head (I have enough to spare so I never really minded) but this iron doesn't pull! Definitely would recommend if you have difficult hair like mine - I'm so happy I found this!

I love this device! It can either straighten, wave, or curl my hair depending on the angle I use. The learning curve was not as difficult as I imagined, either. It is totally worth the price. My puppy got hold of it and chewed through the cord and I was heartbroken (pup is fine btw). Thank goodness for the extended warranty. Another one is on its way! My good hair days can continue.

Facebook has been trying to convince me to get the tyme iron. I almost caved in after looking at videos of people easily curling their hair. Mind you, I had contemplated to get it for a full 2 months. I finally decided to do an amazon search and Mo and behold, this iron popped up. At $68 vs the $200 (tyme iron) I made sure I read all the reviews and also watched all the videos you can think of. Fast forward to the day I got it - tried it immediately to curl my hair with zero success. I was determine and watched more tyme iron videos to see how they did it. Next day, tried it again and wohooo! I did it! I have never owned a curling iron or a hair straightener iron before. So that may help you gauge my familiarity with hair beauty products. I highly recommended this item for those of you who do not wish to spend $200 on the tyme iron.

I’ve had a couple opportunities to use these this week and they surprised me. I have coarse 4c hair that tends to look dry unless loaded with product. The packaging comes very nice with the iron, two clips, a comb, a heat glove and a storage bag. The irons heat up to 450. I used a keratin spray and heat protectant spray and got pretty silky results. I was able to do my whole head and only needed one pass but I am not great with flat irons so I had to do a second pass for my roots. The curviness of the irons makes it good for straightening and styling but for me I just got loose curls (again not good with flat irons). They were beautiful though and combined with my products and the heat of the tool my hair stayed silky even after running a few errands in hot, humid Houston.

The media could not be loaded. I had never heard of Furiden before, but the price and "round" shape, I decided to give it a try when my straightener died. I've used it a couple times now and very pleased. I love how fast it heats up and that it really IS that hot. The plates are smooth and didn't pull my hair. Now the cool part. The "rounded" design. I'm not very good at curling my hair with a straightener and this just made me a PRO! So simple. And left no weird crimp spots that I normally had. Gives it more of a combo curling iron type use, with the smoothness of a straightener! Another huge bonus for me: To change the temperature and on/off is very easy and on the OUTSIDE of the unit unlike others I've owned that are inside, near the plates making it difficult too switch and difficult to see. Not this one! The video is of my daughter using this iron for the first time to get the frizz out of her hair. She's SOLD and is trying to steal this one from me.

I was using a really fancy straightener before and it just stopped working. I researched a ton and this is the one that seemed to be the best for the most affordable price. It comes with a comb, a bag, and clips which I didn’t know about and was really happy with. None of my other hair stylers have ever had those. The curling takes practice. It is not something you will just pick up. Well, some people might I am not that person. I’ve watched a lot of YouTube videos and read a lot and I’ve gotten better, but I still need practice. People who say it’s the product, I disagree. There is a technique to it. They are not lying about the heating. This thing heats up fast. I used to have to turn my old one on then make my coffee and everything before I could use it. I can basically turn this on right before I’m about to use it. It also cools pretty quickly too. I really like all the temperature settings. My last one didn’t have that. I can see a big difference in the health of my hair. It’s not fried because I can set it to what I want. Overall I really love it and would recommend, but just know with the curling it might take some practice and learning.

I’ve had the same straightener for 10 years, and I thought I’d give this one a shot! Let me start off my by saying I have naturally curly hair! Not silky curly hair! My hair requires oils and masks to allow my curls to look moisturized ( if you have similar hair you know why I’m writing this). I prepped my hair the night before. Moisturized it and braided it up I didn’t blow dry it this time. I woke up took my braids out and went straight for it and let me tell you that the straightener quickly heated up and I didn’t have to keep going over it multiple times. I usually take 2 hours to straighten my hair because it’s very long , i do believe I finished in 30-40 minutes! I also added curls in at the bottom of my hair half way through and let me tell you they actually stayed in and didn’t fall out! I didn’t use any hair spray or anything extra! My hair also didn’t feel all crummy afterwards!

Since tyme had been on the market, I have been craving for a straightener/ curler like that. I wasn’t gonna pay 150 plus dollars!!! And then.. I found this product. Everyone knows straightening hair doesn’t take much, and most hair straighteners can do it. What I love about this particular one, is how it curls my hair and holds it. I recently cut my hair, so I tried big curls. I thought it would be a failure, but viola! It looks amazing. I set it at 410, because my hair is too straight and wouldn’t curl, but I set it at 300s when I straightened my hair and it looked so natural and soft in that as well. Would totally recommend this!! It comes with a comb and two clips which is very thoughtful bec I keep losing my lips all the time. For 60 plus dollars it’s complete value for money and a must buy for people that have less time on their hands to do their hair!

I currently have a Chi straightener. I’ve had it for years and attempted curling with it recently. It was OK. After reading reviews and almost convincing myself to buy the Tyme iron, I purchased this Furiden iron and couldn’t be more pleased. It comes with a glove to protect your hand, 2 clips to hold your hair back, and directions (with pictures!) showing how to curl as a right hander and left hander. The picture I attached was my 1st try doing my entire head and I didn’t use any hair spray or product to keep the curl!! It took about 20-30 min I think. My hair is very thick and typically doesn’t hold a curl long. Keep in mind that I’ve only attempted to curl my hair 1 other time and it was with my Chi so I’m no expert which shocks me even more that my hair looks like this on the 1st try with the Furiden! I have the technique down better so I should probably try it again with my Chi to really know which is truly better. That being said, I don’t believe my Chi is as smooth as this new Furiden and I can’t adjust the temperature of my Chi like I can with the Furiden. It just glides so well and the curl seems to hold really well. For the price and seeing the results after only 1 time using it, I’m sold and would highly recommend!!
